Went out with my mom to meet someone, was a nice hour long drive so I had a good talk with her about stuff, then had a good talk with Dad at home where we discussed science, tabletop and painting, then we did a take out order for some sushi and I went to see Prometheus later.
A very good day that made me pretty happy! |

I went caving this morning which was awesome fun!
It isn't well known or anything, but it was rather extensive and ran quite a way underground. I'm going to go back and map it out and see exactly where it runs compared to above ground.
And tomorrow there is a boys night in (yes, I am allowed to go), this time they are doing a Stargate SG-1 marathon.
It was a choice between Stargate, Startrek or X-men, naturally stargate won. _________________ Diagnostic Tools and Resources for Women with AS: http://www.wrongplanet.net/postt211004.html |

i dont think it is any exaggeration to say today was a brilliant start to my holiday. i started off with my first saturday stall since term started.
then i went to the kings comics and comics kingdom to get back issues of stuff i havent been able to get for a few months. i noticed that on one of kings comics doors they have little pictures of comic related stuff and one of them was a picture of this:
contrasted with this:
and the caption read something like "if you think this will corrupt your children(over northstar) but are fine with them seeing this(over the punisher) then there is something wrong with you."
and when i went to go buy astonishing x-men the comic-book-guy at kings comics(the one i have thought was really cute since i was a teen) talked about how great it was jean-paul was getting married. he's been out since the early 90s. about time really. i love my comic book shop. made me feel warm & fuzzy inside. i think comic book guy remembers my face because when he saw me staring at the picture he made a point of saying hi like he knew me.
and later in the day i had to go leaflet for the next same sex marriage rally at the Proposition8 play at town hall(it is super fancy) which went well and oh my golly gosh at the end of our leafleting THERE WAS SOME GUY GIVING OUT FREE TICKETS! some days it pays to be an activist. they turned out to be front seat tickets! and i looked at the price after i was seated- $70.51! like holy cow. |
