Verbal Memory - 66th Percentile
Executive Functioning - 18th Percentile

I have long suspected that I have Executive Dysfunction, and this almost confirms it. :P The shifting attention part was pretty difficult; 3 times I couldn't "shift my attention" at all, and it skipped to the next one. It took me awhile to figure out all the other ones. My "Correct Reaction Time" was 1394, in the 1st Percentile, which, if I understand that correctly, was extremely slow...

I took a similar test to the shifting attention a month or so ago, where it showed a picture of something and a word, and sometimes you had to answer "true", as in the word and the picture of the object matched, and sometimes it would tell you to pick "true" if they did not match (and vice versa; "false" if they do match and so on), and that was difficult for me too. It was hard shifting my attention between whether I was supposed to give the correct answer or the wrong answer, and I had to stop and think for a bit in order to do it.

Verbal Memory: 23rd percentile
Executive Function: 1st percentile

Ouch!

The executive function test made me incredibly nauseous, btw. Did anyone else experience that? I started off strong, but then I just became completely overwhelmed and stopped hitting any answers for a couple of seconds...felt really sick.

I played a game called 'Scattergories' with my friends last night. I was excited to play, because I like listing things, but I was not prepared for how poorly I would do at it. You are assigned a letter and then have three minutes to look at a list of terms (male name, tool, animal, etc) and to list something related to that term that begins with the assigned number. I spent most of the game just sitting and staring at the terms, trying to think of something...one round the letter was 'H' and for the category 'tool' I couldn't think of a hammer!

Another test I haven't tried before - I think I'm turning into a testaholic 8O

Verbal memory 8%, Executive functioning 23% and slow (reaction time 7%). That sounds about right for me. My short term memory is rubbish and I do have a noticeable delay in processing data.

Yeah. Not "incredibly," but I had a definite sea-sick feeling when trying to figure out which button to push. I found that task-switching test almost physically difficult. I have some pre-existing balance issues, though.

Verbal Memory: 93 percentile
Executive Function: 75 percentile

I did not pay much attention to the words flashed up for verbal memory. I remembered the words as pictures that are not pictures of the things but the shapes of the letters and scored well. I took this test a few months ago, and that time, I remembered the words as spoken sounds and scored much lower on verbal memory.

Interesting. I don't think in pictures very much at all, not even in my memories. For me the words have to be remembered as concepts rather than pictures or sounds.

77 percentile for both

every time I accidentally hit the wrong button in the executive function part because I was trying to go fast was frustrating

I wanted to take this test several times using different techniques for verbal memory, but I cannot do that, because the words remain seared into my brrrainzzz for days after the test, so the new words for the next test get confused with the old words from the previous test.

18th percentile for verbal memory which is low average
2nd percentile for executive functioning which is low and just barely above very low.

I knew my executive functioning sucked! Not surprising to me is the amount of time it took for my responses, over 1 second vs. average of .07 seconds.

I took this after doing some errands for 3 hours so I think it's a pretty good estimation of functioning.

It will be interesting to see how these results compare with the testing I'm doing next week.

If you have pop-ups blocked you need to allow them to be able to take the test.

I need to do this test again tomorrow morning when I am not exhausted from ma day of intellectual work... I might could do better in those cases.

I wouldn't say that executive functioning is purely based on ability to relate printed words to colors... I've always had troubles with the way that printed words look on a page, because I gloss over them... I try to speed-read even though I cant really focus enough to do so.

The first time I took this test, I tried to remember the words as words and scored in the single digits (5th or 2nd percentile). When I remembered them as pictures, it was in the 90s somewhere.

That is to say, very similar to what you just said. Interesting.

I feel somewhat stupid after taking it again... luckily I make up for it in other areas of intelligence. happy to be a mad scientist! mmmmwah ha ha ha. but maybe Verdandi has a point! I have a much better visual memory, but the problem is that they throw in words that look similar and the words are in black and white. I would actually have a much better time at it if I had a chance to consider their color (Synesthesia) I may try again later.

I did better on exec functioning test this time though :) still only in 12 percentile but at least it's not 1 like last night which is what I got in both areas and got for verbal memory today.

Verbal Memory Score 46 Percentile 9
Executive Function Score 35 Percentile 7

I tried linking to the image but I don't have enough posts yet.

I have NLD. I tried taking the test again remembering the words as pictures and I scored in the 1st percentile. Depressing
The Verbal test isn't a test of verbal memory at all. I usually score quite high in those.
