| I like to think of myself as a DUKE fan since before I was born. Though it happened when I found a duke hat somewhere. |

Lately we have been having incredible thunderstorms in the afternoons. I am terrified of lightning, and the storm we had last Sunday had me hiding in my closet.
A little trivia: Florida is the lightning capital of the U.S., and leads the nation in deaths caused by lightning. Only South and Central America, tropical Africa and Asia tend to have more lightning than Florida. Rwanda in Africa is generally considered to be the lightning capital of the world.
Tomorrow's forecast for my area shows a high of 94 F (34 C), which is several degrees cooler than it has been. The humidity is supposed to be 65%. It also shows damaging winds, large hail, and chance of tornadoes in the red shaded areas (the city I currently live in is located in that part of Florida).
The first tropical storm of the 2011 hurricane season, Tropical Storm Arlene, has formed in the Gulf of Mexico. The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) is predicting a very active year, with as many as 18 storms for the coming season, including 10 hurricanes.

My am I off the pace, I'm usually the first one to notice a new tropical storm!
Hot though, glad I am not there! _________________ Ten's radio show: Next repeated at 7am and 9pm BST Monday at www.ldok.net

Thats the official report today, in reality it is gusty with rain squals and totally exhilerating, not so uncomfortable to stop me wearing sandals though
