I constantly get hassled about this at work functions. They seem to think if I have some drinks, I'll loosen up, be more fun etc. I don't like socialising with work people. I'm there to do my job, not to have fun. I ended up drinking coke in a scotch glass to get them to back off (looked like scotch and coke).
I have lost respect for some work colleagues who have acted\said things when drunk.
Its a waste of money. It kills brain cells. It makes you sick if you have too much. I already have enough GI issues to deal with, without adding something else.
Besides there are heaps of things I'd rather be doing than talking s**t with people I don't even like or can't relate to. Total waste of time.
Re-reading this post makes it look like I'm boring, never have fun and really arrogant. I have my own hobbies that are fun, and a OH to chat to about interesting things. Prefer the company of animals, and the peacefulness of nature.
