Hell no |
He knew full well what he was doing. It wasn't a psychotic episode, so unless they can change the law and change his sentence later, then yes.
This is how come our prison system looks so huge compared to most of Europe. They have slap on the wrist sentences compared to the US. If he lived in the US he'd want to be found insane to avoid the death penalty or the supermax prison in Colorado. There all he has to do is demonstrate mental competence and he will get out well within an average life expectancy. _________________ "Gun control is like trying to reduce drunk driving by making it tougher for sober people to own cars."

I think that Anders Behring Breivik is the worst person in Scandinavian society of this century. For the good of society (both NT and autistic) he needs to be locked up to prevent him doing further bad things.
From his comments after arrest, I think that if released he would like to do it all over again. So we need to incapacitate him (prevent him commiting further vile crimes) by locking him up in prison. I also think that locking him up also protects him from the angry mobs which would chase after him if he was walking the streets.
I also think that he was likely to have been acting alone and legally sane but he is a very evil thing posing as a man. _________________ Health is a state of physical, mental and social wellbeing and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity I am not a jigsaw, I am a free man ! |

I've also read that he wasn't so much of a "Nordic type," after all. After the police arrested him they found he was wearing blue contacts over his brown eyes!
Like the Nazis before him, he seems to worship a physical type he personally doesn't fit into entirely.

1. He gets 20 yrs , then another 5 , then another 5 etc......by then hes gone for life.
2. He commits suicide somehow.
3. He gets killed upon release from prison or they hunt him down overseas since it would prolly be waaaay too risky for him to live in Norway any more. If he gets released its a very good chance hell have guns dug up and the possibility for another attack.......... |

Maybe they could just "temporarily" stowe him in the main population of any hard penitentionary- and just look the other way a few hours. Ya know. Just long enough for another inmate to gleefully knife him to death without prompting.
Heinous criminals are often hard to keep safe from other felons.
They tried to protect Jeffrey Daumer, but while he was doing his job of doing the prison laundry some fellow con snuck into his presence somehow and stabbed him to death just to get the noteriety having killed Daumer. Oh well..we tried for years to protect him... couldnt have happened to a nicer guy! |

Criminals like this should be kept in solitude isolation in prison for the rest of their lives. Having him in with the other prisoners would put him at a huge risk of being killed. Other inmates would want to make a name for themselves to kill a high profiled infamous prisoner.
A prisoner serving a life sentence being killed in jail by an other inmate is a nice end to their suffering in jail. There is nothing worse than spending the rest of your life in jail and dying as an old man. Capital punishment/death penalty is mercy compared to spending 30, 40 or 50+ years in jail. |

There are other reasons why the US prison system is so big. Being extraordinarily vengeful is one reason. |

Maybe he likes the thought of being in jail all his life , that he will become even more of a martyr since he can still spread his message thru media ?
Remember doc Loomis in Halloween , it was like he was describing ABB when he said "evil on 2 legs" |
