well, lets see, mom made me get rid of all my MLP stuff, drawings, chatrooms, storys I wrote, ect, I feel empty now as if I don't know what to do because I loved mlp! I was able to watch shows, draw, write, and do all kinds of things that would make the day exciting for me! but I had to get rid of it all. So why you ask did I have to stop loving mlp? well yes there is bad stuff you can get into with mlp and I did get a little into that but I did quite but she tells me that I shouldn't be involved in it because it is for little 12 and under girls but I tried to exsplian that there are Brony! adult men who love MLP! but because of that one bad thing I did with mlp I guess she thinks it is all bad. I wish she would sit down and do some research and give me a second chance! its both frustrating and sad and hurtful that I can no longer have mlp in my life.
As much as I'm a fan of MLP, I can understand why the erm, "weird" side of the fandom would turn a lot of people off. Still, your mother shouldn't have done that. It's none of her damn business. You're 23 years old, she should show you some respect!
I'm only 21, and I've been a brony since I was 17. My dad knew as soon as he walked in on me watching the first episode with a friend. He was kind of weirded out, but after I explained that it was done by some of the same people who worked on The Powerpuff Girls, he understood. My mom found out a bit later when she saw me post some ponies on my Facebook wall, and again she was a little confused, but she was cool with it. I only wish other people's parents were as supportive as mine.
