As I have known for several days now, the minister at the church I play organ at has been reassigned to another church. There was a meeting today after our service making us aware that the conference our church belongs to is waiting to see if we will decide to withdraw from the conference over a certain election result from a couple years ago. I have no problem with the election result, and if our members decide to withdraw I will be upset with them and no longer wish to play organ for them. I am upset that although our church has operated since the mid-1800s without serious problems, we are now facing problems---during the time I find so much comfort and enjoyment in playing organ there.

I won't get to go see Dark Shadows on opening day, as I had originally planned.

My mom has to work late that day, and it was either go see it on opening day with my brother and our mutual friend, or wait until my mom's next day off (which most likely won't be until Wednesday, May 16th) and see it with her.

I ultimately chose to wait until mom's next day off because she seemed so sad that she wouldn't get to go on opening day. It appears I was right, because later on today, she thanked me and told me it was a kind thing to do to sacrifice opening day in order to wait for her.

Doing the right thing isn't easy, though. I'm still a little upset that I'll have to wait an extra 5 days in order to see the movie.

I was looking forward to a hamburger when I was finished that walk that I went to. The concession stands were handing out wraps instead of hamburgers. I've decided to wait until I got home to eat something. I like food that's familiar to me, not food that's only been around for 10 years.
