I tend to prefer to date girls that are younger than me, mostly because girls my age tend to act their age and that doesn't work well with my man-child status. Plus most girls my age where I live have several children already and have been married at least once.

I think my low end age cap would probably be 21.

Me, too. I once briefly dated a guy who was a few years younger than me and it was fun for a little while, but it wore me out and made me feel old. (I've heard people say dating someone younger makes them feel younger, but not me, lol). I also tend to crave stability in my life and many guys my age or younger are still getting settled into a career or going to school and not sure what direction they're heading yet, so that causes some friction.

I sometimes feel old when Megz talks about school stuff or college because I graduated high-school a little over 10 years ago & what she talks about is quite different than how it was when I was in school; & I also feel kind of old when she talks about issues with her parents but I sometimes talk to her about issues with my parents & then I feel kind of like I'm too old for being like that. However she also makes me feel alive; I'm not going to say she makes me feel young because she is very mature for her age & I feel like I may be more immature than she is. I also think things are a lot more stable with her but that & her maturity is probably related to things that have nothing to do with her being younger than me like maybe her AS. I'm not really concerned or really care that she's a lot younger than me because it doesn't really feel like it; things just feel rite to me & that's what matters

I am currently attracted to a woman 20 years younger than me and she may be interested. It has very little to do with age ,it's kind of irrelevant since like many with AS I look significantly younger than my actual age.She is the mirror image of me as far as personality goes. She is very quiet ,usually won't say a thing in group situations ,seems to have sensory issues but is very intense. The attraction on my part has nothing to do with her actual age.Would it likely be easier if she was older ?Yes,but it's not an issue .

I seem to attract women who are a few years older than I. At the moment, for example, I have the makings of something interesting with a woman who is 28. My last girlfriend was also older than me.

I find I've been more accepted by people of my own age as I've grown older. I did once, at 16 years old, have a relationship with a 19 year old, though. That was fun Razz

I think that's perfectly fine if she's not still in high-school. NOT that there's anything wrong with dating an 18year-old who's still in HS but it may be a little awkward & society may judge you more for it. Some say Aspies mental ages average a third less than their physical ages so if that's true in theory it should be acceptable for us to date people who are two thirds our physical ages

I've dated four college professors.
Suffice it to say:
age is just a number to me.

i am stuck at a different age than my birth certificate. probably half the age. i feel more related to much younger people like my students when i was lecturing. i had much more in common with them than woman my own age. i never had the guts to initiate a relationship with any girl that age, being worried about giving the wrong impressions or signals.

needless to say that i have met several wonderful talented and very adorable and interesting potential partners, i would have been happy to be with… but unfortunately never did.

it is in fact rather common to observe young women being interested in the way ValentineWiggin describes has happened to her several times, and i find it vary brave of her to act upon it. i wish i had that courage… Embarassed

maybe some other day.

I would prefer to go out with guys who are a little bit older. I don't really know why. I think it's because I felt that it was very hard to make any kind of friends who were my age and I was always talking to people who were older than me. Maybe that's why.

I once with out a guy who was 4 years younger than me and I told myself that I would never go out with anyone younger with me, and I was right. I hated being in that relationship. Thin my mind, I saw the guy as very immature and I felt very weird by that.
