Shemp was good, Curly Joe was better.

I guarantee this movie will be better than anything the boys did after Shemp died--and unfortunately they did a lot. Confused

Wow I was expecting something awful after reading the first few comments but I have to say I thought it looks quite good! It seems like pretty close to the original material and not such a huge departure, and the guys playing the Stooges themselves are pretty faithful to the originals. I for one am looking forward to it.

After watching again, I really like "Larry."

He's subtle, when he gets bonked with the hammer, and over the top when he takes the lobster down his pants.

He'll do fine. Wink

Whatever, the original was also shitty. Some would argue it was because those were different times, but Chaplin was also from that time and it was damn good.

Wow, guess I'm the only person who actually thinks it looks funny. I actually laughed at the trailer.

No you aren't. I enjoyed it too.

Look, they're never gonna top the original Stooges; it's impossible.

I'm glad they went with "lesser-knowns" for this project.

@ The Doctor 82: I agree with you about "lesser-known" actors as the 3 Stooges.
Much better than "household names", IMOO.

And yes, topping the original Stooges is impossible, although "impossible" is very much
of an understatement. Wink

@ Idaho Rose: I laughed at the trailer too. Maybe this is the Farrellys' "comeback movie?"

Am I the only one who plans on seeing this when it opens in April of next year?

Totally agree - Laurel and Hardy are by far the best of the classic comedy groups - just get a copy of "Busy Bodies" or "The Music Box" and you'll be hooked. The Marx Brothers are worthy as well.
