As girls sometimes have to jump through hoops to get to you as well.
If girls won't give you a chance, you shouldn't give them the same in return, that'd be pointless.

It's only fair. If others can afford to be picky, I have every right to be as well. Otherwise I'd only ever get into one sided relationships.

Well, I have a number of female friends, some even in the spectrum, but I was told that it's hard to get out of the 'friend zone' therefore I just didn't go further.
Plus they all had boyfriend already |

Why am I still single?
1. I am a Christian and a Republican, and people assume I am a closed-minded hatemonger, despite that I am really not.
2. I have trouble understanding some of the unwritten NT social rules.
3. Shortage of female Aspies who are single, but aren't asexual or saving themselves until marriage.
4. I live in the freakin' Bible Belt.

I only broke up a few months ago with my autistic bf (he lived too far away and rarely visited) but the reason I'm most likely to remain single for a LONG time is the fact I don't believe anyone is real.

I'm self-conscious, have low self-esteem/confidence, and social anxiety. People have said I'm good looking, but I'm just retarded. I feel like I'm going to die an asexual.

Simply put: because I have AS.
Explanation. Because I have AS, I lack the social skills and confidence to flirt with girls I like, or spend months liking a girl who doesn't like me back.
Also, all my friends are NT's with very little understanding of how an Aspies mind works, so when they try to give me advice on my love life (or lack thereof), it's not terribly useful
So I've taken it upon myself to do a little self improvement. I know what social situations I can deal with on my own (going to gigs, for example), so over the next few months, I'm going to try training myself to be social and build my confidence up. Hopefully it'll work |
