Yeah I probably burned about 100 myself lol. I kept screwing up the suicide mission and getting somebody killed.

I preordered on Origin so pretty much I'm going to stay up and wait for midnight and click "download" then go to sleep and wake up and play the game.

I'm quite excited about the release myself, just did a run of the first Mass Effect which took around 20 hours to get to level 50 and complete every side quest, I'm now doing a run of Mass Effect 2 which shouldn't take too long. Mass Effect 2 is more challenging and requires more strategy on Insanity whereas Mass Effect 1 is fairly easy if you level up Immunity and use the right equipment.

I think a run of mass effect can take 20 hours but given how many paragon and renegade choices it has and how you can change certain outcomes in the story, it has great replay value considering most games have 6-10 hour story mode campaigns.

I noticed on Insanity for ME1 I always went with a tank crew. Get Ashley and Wrex with Explosive shotties, same with your snipers and shotty and nothing can touch you.

question: do the multiplayer demo characters transfer to the full game, or will I need to start over?

Also, does multiplayer prowess on the demo give any of the promised benefits in the full game singleplayer mode

What on earth are you talking about!! Just vbecause you don't recognize Ashley tou're gonna kill her off??

You do know that they completely redid her character right? No one would have recognized her if the pics of her new charcter design hadn't been in the media!! She looks completely different.

I can't understand the dislike for Ashley, I suppose she can be annoying in some aspects and she doesn't provide the best performance, however I find Ashley to be interesting and she has good dialogue. I found Jack in Mass Effect 2 to be a better voice actor and a more interesting character, Mass Effect 2 had some great voice actors and 3 looks to have a great VA cast.

I haven't heard of any problems. But I wouldn't worry about the demo, the full game will probably be fine. Your friend could try deleting it and downloading it again if he or she hasn't done that already.

Found this vid earlier. Not entirely sure how long EA will let it stay up. Honestly, this should have been the actual official launch trailer, as its much better than dialog and quick flashes of faces and explosions.

A fair warning: this clip can be considered a spoiler.

I enjoyed the first one. The second one had less content in general, and it forced me to have blown up the alien council, which I find very lame. Still, I played the second one to the end.. the final boss battle was rather epic.

I doubt I'll buy the third one, unless the reviews go a completely different direction than I expect.. I've played enough depthless 'run around and kill a bunch of stuff' games and it just seems like more of the same. The conversation trees are still top-notch, but the basic plot is just boring to me at this point.

Oh and the 'Faceless Man' (was that his name?) guy didn't make any sense to me.. I kept defying him and he didn't care.. but I suppose he had it all planned out that way.. blah blah blah.. yeah, ME2, in hindsight I like it even less :)
