Hmm, Why do you ask? ROFLOL
Seriously, I hate personal questions or those on subjects that i have no interest in. Even "how's it going?" can be annoying. I have to fight the urge to explain my arthritis/Crohn's is active. But I do not want to lie either..
I try to be neutral when on the job because of that..
Personal questions get evasions mostly. Unless you are a rare, CLOSE friend of mine.
Sometimes I do - an example being if I'm doing a breathing treatment, and someone asks "Wow, so you're having an asthma attack right now?" (or I'll have to stop and explain that it's a nebulizer and NOT a bong........even got asked if it was a water bottle once)

I hate being asked the same ones over and over. I also hate being stopped by survey people too in the streets and when people call me on the phone for surveys but luckily after getting rid of our land line I don't deal with that anymore. It just depends on the questions is all and my mood. I just can't stand the ones small children ask because they are all stupid and repetitive.
I thoroughly enjoy being asked questions, because I usually have the answers to them! A co-worker of mine calls me "Walking Wikipedia" because of it lol.
Now, when someone asks me how I FEEL about something...well, I usually tell them what I THINK about it instead. Most of the time this seems satisfactory and they drop the subject. But with people who are close to me, they know better than to take my cop-out strategy and they make me actually try to figure out if I have some sort of emotional response to something. Then it can get awkward. I have to take a moment and really try to dig around and process what I might be feeling, if anything. The answer usually begins with, "I dunno..." then I tend to make something up real quick that sounds 'normal'. Might not be the right thing to do, but hey, it's all I've got usually.
I don't mind answering questions when the other person needs to know something, and I have the information they need. I like giving directions and that sort of thing.
But it annoys me when a person asks me about something, that they have no sensible reason to think I would know the answer to. Like the other week, some random guy in a store stopped me to ask if I knew of some companies he could apply for work with. What do I look like, a walking employment agency? It boggles my mind sometimes the things people ask me about.
The kind of questions I despise are the ones where the other person is just being nosy or trying to make conversation. Asking me things like, "do you have kids?" What f***ing business is that of theirs?!
I also hate it when I give my opinion on something, and I've already said ALL I wanted to say, but the other person just keeps nagging me with questions trying to get me to "discuss" it with them. _________________ ADHD, inattentive type, not sure if I have AS
I just got a new one today. They were apparently driving to see a friend of theirs, and they forgot their friend's address. They called me to ask for their friend's address. I couldn't believe it. They've been there visiting many times. Luckily I looked up my address book and found it, as they once asked me to deliver something to that friend before.
I'm not sure if I should act dumber and unhelpful so they'll ask me less. I don't think it would matter anyway. To them I'm the yoda in the family and they'll only look elsewhere if I can't answer. _________________ Aspie mom to two autistic sons (11 & 9 )
I hate being asked questions about myself. 4+4? Easy it's 8, that question is good. How do you feel? What are you thinking? Why are you doing X? Those questions will shut me down in 60 seconds.
I don't like questions either, especially if I'm put on the spot. I feel like I'm being interrogated. I don't mind yes/no questions or factual questions, but if I'm asked "what do you think about ...?" I don't know what to say because most of the time I genuinely don't know what I think.
When writing essays at university I had difficulty with open-ended questions. Multiple-choice questions were easier because you don't have to come up with an answer yourself. Anything that requires me to organise my thoughts into a coherent answer I find very difficult.

Agree!!..
Well.. thats kinda the point of going to college isnt it?
Learning to organize your thoughts and communicate them.
I don't like being asked questions about myself or my day/week/month, etc.
I went to live with my grandmother for a summer a couple of years ago, and though I love her very much, she drove me insane! I was used to living with my mother, who showed zero interest in her children, so it was overwhelming for me to have my grandmother show interest in every little thing I did...from what I had for lunch to what movie I got in the mail from Netflix. It was exhausting, but I knew she had the best intentions.
I like being asked intellectual type questions. If I don't know the answer, I'll try to find it. _________________ Aspie Quiz: AS - 141/200, NT - 77/200 (Very likely an Aspie)

Usually I don't mind questions, unless I am clearly busy working on, watching, listening to or reading something. My wife is an expert at knowing exactly when I'm really absorbed in something, and then interrupting me with a barrage of unimportant questions, just to get my attention. _________________ You can't tell which way the train went by looking at the tracks.
I do NOT mind questions if they relate to an area of interest to me. If someone asks me a question on caring for reptiles (esp. tortises or snakes) or keeping saltwater fish, I hope they do not mind getting a couple chapters of info! LOL
Sincerely,
Matthew
I think the tren here is: Personal questions=Hate 'em!
Factual questions= good conversation.
IF I'm caught off guard and I'm asked a question I really do NOT care to answer; I react similarly to this.....it comes from having no desire to lie BUT sensing 'danger' IF you do NOT censure your response, appropriately.
