Not in the slightest, dumbest thing I ever did was start. I'd find it difficult to be in the regular company of a girl who smoked, though. That particular ciggarette would be the hardest to resist. |

That's a tough one, actually. I think someone just said 'Want a fag?' and I said yes, then just got offered ciggarettes in company and it went from there. What followed was weird though, people in school treated me differently and I started hanging about with different people. |

I agreed with Tallyman that if anyone found my posts insulting they would take it up with me at the time. I never make 'outlandish claims'. no, i didn't actually say that. your posts have been trolling. you don't have to show pictures, and in fact i wouldn't care either way, but the fact is that you cannot back up your claims in any way whatsoever - not just through photographs lol, but through any sort of useful advice or background details or supporting history. when you *repeatedly* say things similar to, "i have beautiful women throwing themselves at me" it is obviously intended to belittle other members.
i warned you because you have been trolling WrongPlanet for a long time with ridiculous posts that are intended to make other aspies feel bad about themselves. you have a choice to stop it or you will face further consequences. if it happens again, it may be me who warns you, or it could be another moderator. it's up to you if you want to open my PMs or not. you'll get the same warning regardless.
i'm going to ask you to stop derailing the thread as it has already been dealt with. any further comments can be made via PM to myself or another moderator.

Sure, there's a reason why there are so many English language institutes, online classes, etc. People strive to learn other languages, and English is, let's accept it, the current lingua franca throughout the world. I guess in English-speaking countries there's not much incentive to learn other languages because everyone else learns English (and it's an easy-to-learn language, really - it has far fewer rules than Spanish or German, for example), but currently, with globalization, world trade, and all that, most people are learning English. And some are learning Chinese, too.

Ive been in many places in latin america, met many people from there, and have also met enough spaniards and italians to know it to be a truth. That it is a truth based on the stereotypes of a race? Yes. But stereotypes exist for a reason. Nobody woke up one morning and said "wouldnt it be hilarious if we made fun of black people for eating chicken and watermelon?". Stereotypes have a base in truth, though often exagerated and seen in a negative demeanor they hold a meaner of truth.

I agree on the part that stereotypes exist because, at some point, some real people existed (or still exist) that fit them, that's something I always say. What I don't agree on is the generalization. And I've been against generalizations (and labels) all my life. Some people may fit the stereotype, others don't. You can't make a judgement of the whole population based on half a dozen people you may have met. You have to take each person individually. |

A lot of the Caribbean speaks English too, plus you'd be closer to the beach. I assume it's expensive to move there as a foreigner though.

well guyana is not a true caribean coutry it shares culturee as the islands but the country is in south america so it both a caribbean and south america, what makes people forget that we are a south american coutry is that we dont share latin culture.
no not expensive there at all. you get your money worth. |
