Actually, as for being a gun nutter, I think you have me mistaken for someone else. I have gone target practicing a few times, which was very fun, but I don't even own a gun, and I don't have deep concerns about the issue, one way or the other.
Concerning fantasy prone individuals; I never thought all gun owners - or even most - had such personality problems. I stated Zimmerman was fantasy prone because he had wanted to be a cop all his life. When he couldn't because he had assaulted a police officer a few years back, he decided he would play cop. One time, he had followed a shop lifter for blocks after alerting the police. Another time, he had accosted someone for parking in a handicapped space after calling the police, which never resulted in the "offender's" arrest. And this was before he had even joined the neighborhood watch, during which time he had pretended he was a cop by carrying a gun as he obsessively wandered the streets.
As for Raptor's response to me needing a hobby - that's just mean.

Maybe QFT isn't a thing anymore. I meant Quoted for Truth l. The facts are strongly suggestive of someone obsessed with playing the role of law enforcement or authority figure.

Okay, thanks for explaining that for me. And thank you for your support. Cool

What will happen if he is not charged or indicted?

What will happen if he is acquitted?

I was watching CBS News not to long ago, and someone made the statement that the investigation was "Racially Biased". If the local LEO's had thought about it, it would have been much better to turn the case over to the FDLE or even the FBI.

Let the media and Sharpton fan the flames on top of what our wonderful president has already said and will no doubt add to and you at least have the potential for rioting.

Hi Raptor,

Why did a gun toter start the fire???

Didn't you promote Reagan's "Let It Burn!!!" philosophy a while back?

At least Mr. Whiple didn't hug the Charmin to his face after he used it. Have you tried to learn from example?

Hi Raptor,

That's annoying.

You'll have to ask him. Riots have started before in like incidents and certain entities have helped them along.

Burn what?

The only Mr. Whipple I can think of is a neighbor when I was a kid so you've lost me again and I don't have the inclination to google it.

Do my dog and Balaam's ass factor in here like in your other ramblings?

Rolling Eyes

Hi Raptor,

A. I'm sorry you find greetings annoying, but it is often social protocol in civilized things.

B. Your cited entities are relevantly discussed in See the SelectedWorks of Elizabeth B. Megale, April 2010
"Making Murder Legal: How Laws Expanding Self-Defense Allow Criminals to 'Get Away with Murder'":
http://www.google.com/search?sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8&q=Elizabeth+B.+Megale%2C+%22Get+Away+with+Murder%22+%22+Ana+Cristina+Torres%22

which includes the ending paragraph in the summary:

"Legislatures throughout the United States should heed the silent message from
the Florida courts: these statutes should not be followed. In enacting the 2005 laws, the
Florida legislature created protection for both criminal and legitimate self-defense acts.
The prior statutes protected only legitimate self-defense acts, the legitimacy of which
was determined by a jury. Now, the actual effect of Stand Your Ground, Castle
Doctrine, and Immunity working together is to allow criminals to get away with murder. "

C. That was his doctrine with forest fires and much else. Remember his next "5 minutes" remark?

D.

I don't know why all this hand-wringing about bank robbers and sh!t keeps coming up.

Whatever, though.....
I vote this the nuttiest gunz-r-bad thread that we've had yet and that's saying A LOT.

cheers

After playing with your gun, instead of during your time here which you lastly disparaged, are you still wondering what the Charmin is for, and the better order of embracing it, without the intellectual need to resort to Google to figure out what any brand of TP is ultimately for?

E. Your dog and Balaam's ass factor is in here under the spirits of "Although many states have embraced the notion of 'stand your ground' over the common law 'duty to retreat,' that focus coupled with immunity places a higher value on honor than on life. It makes a mockery of our democracy, and condones civilized men in resorting to barbaric behavior. " Ibid.

Are you literal minded or not? Or more importantly was Zimmerman literal minded or not? In any case his crew chief should have been more explicit and have told Zimmerman not to pursue the kid. If he had done that and Zimmerman kept on doing what he did the Zimmerman would be up on charges now.

Sloppy management and it cost a life.

That would be a surprise.

You mean as surprising as finding a post of yours not rife with intellectual fallacies and unwarranted personal attacks?

Maybe so. But there is always the chance Zimmerman would have pursued Trayvon, regardless.

ZImmerman didnt belong to an official neighborhood watch. He wasnt registered anywhere and he had no supervision or training. He just did it as a hobby. He thought he was a cop.

In other words, Zimmerman is a fantasy prone individual.

I think the point I was trying to get to was missed.

This matter really needs to be left to a real court and real jury without race baiting!

Because real, trained professionals (judges, lawyers) and a proven system with protocol and rules (court, jury, witnesses,) should be the ones handeling something that could have such potential impact on another humans life?

The point is that it's not going to get to a real court and jury thanks to the SYG law.

The cops wanted to charge Zimmerman with manslaughter but the prosecutor told them they couldnt under SYG.

That would have been the case, had that idiotic law not caused the police to release Zimmerman free and clear immediately after the shooting.
