Attractive:
Nice hair (that I can run my fingers through, I like both strait and curly and several colors)
Flat-ish stomach. No need for a ripped six pack, but no beer belly.
Smells good to me (I need to like the smell of your sweat, not your aftershave)
Smiles at least some if I say I joke
This may not be physical but is courteous and opens the doors for me.
Tolerates the fact that I am probibly the messiest most disorganized person on earth (yeah executive dysfunction)
Has lots of smarts!!! (I declare this to be physical even though all evidence points to the contrary)

Unattractive:
Prison tattoos (do not care about tasteful ones but crazy prison like tats are out)
Smokes, drinks, does illicit drugs. (these do affect the physical appearance as well as being signs of the character)
Wants to have sex before we are married.
Too much muscle (like a body builder or pro wrestler)
Too tall (mostly because I am short , under 5'2")

No wonder I am single.

The OP of the other thread doesn't breed crocodiles, so it's not my fault.

Unattractive:
-no drug use...I like the physical appearance of a dude drinking a beer, or maybe smoking a cigarette, or maybe even a joint or a pipe. since apparently this is to be included in physical appearance according to this thread and the other one like it.
-short clean hair cut(how boring)
-so much muscle they look like they do steroids
-excessively obese(no I don't only like skinny guys, but I don't wanna get crushed either when trying to have physical contact)
-some kinds of facial hair, though some kids are ok to.....that one really depends.

and that about sums it up.

This thread has made me giggle. Some things I've never thought about before are suddenly making me compare this list to my husband.

Anyway:

Do's:
Longish hair: I hate my husband's "military" haircut. I wish he could let it grow a little, it's a comfort to rub my fingers through it at night.
Physically fit: NOT muscleman, but fit. If you can't participate in a pick up game of soccer with a bunch of six years old kids without failing to keep up AND you're under the age of 30, you're not for me.
Bathe: This is huge. Guys don't realize they sweat in certain places below the belt. Sweat smells different on different parts of the body. Might be TMI, but if you haven't showered in the past 16 hours, don't ask a girl for oral sex. It's rude.
Show kindness: girls really DON'T like to take the "bad boy" home to mom. Being kind is an action to be see, shown and felt.
Tattoos/ Piercings: Depends on what and where, but most of the time, they are sexy!

Don't's:
Have bigger boobs than me: You're a man. It's unflattering and can make a girl feel self-conscience.
Sit around and play video games all day: It's rude and uninviting. Especially, single-player RPGs or first-person shooters, these games can't be played "together" thus further distancing the two of you.
"Bulk up": Too many muscles, and I feel like I can't hug you. I like to hug. Hugging is good, but if I can't reach around your bicep without a rope and pulley system, it's not worth the effort. Plus, it makes you unapproachable. I mean, what could I possibly have in common with someone who works out more hours a week than I sleep?

(Please don't feed me o the crocodiles. I don't like things that bite, which also includes ponies, don't feed me to them either.)

Physical appearance isn't really that important to me, but I have to be honest. Guys with tattoos and/or piercings all over their body make it very hard for me to get close (in the literal sense) to them. I also hate really bad, ugly teeth. I don't really stereotype people with bad teeth as being poor, uneducated hillbillies but I do find it hard to look at them because I instinctively think they may be diseased and if I picture us kissing...eew

ok just physical traits, but physical things aren't deal breakers for me. The overall picture is more important.

attractive
- average height, 5'9 - 6'
- average body - not too skinny or obese.
- longish hair or bald, most male hair cuts in between long and bald look boring to me.
- masculine, but I like a boyish face
- kind eyes
- full lips
- freshly showered smell (for a stranger), but for a partner, a bit sweaty can be nice if the pheromones are working

unattractive
- skinny
- bald with a beard, either is fine alone but not together
- clean cut, male model types
- hardcore body builder types
- moustaches
- acne
- bad teeth
- nose hair
- more than 1 or 2 tattoos

Too many piercings
Bad tattoos (but lots of quality, okay)
Bad teeth (were talking poor dental hygiene not genetics)
B.O.
Clinging to meager remnants of hair with sweep over hairstyle
crazy unmanaged facial hair
obese
thinner than me

It's sort of funny, but most of what I find attractive is whatever I see in my partner. I identify people better by the way they walk and fill space and their bodies and hair and so on, and it's hard for me to picture his face. I can think of individual features sort of fuzzily though. It helps to look at a picture.
He's 5'7" or 8" I think (doesn't really matter to me) and is slender and wiry.
He has long, dark brown hair in a ponytail and it is perfectly, loosely curled and looks like a freaking shampoo advertisement. It's so effing soft and volume-y. Can't emphasize that enough.
He has olive skin and big bambi eyes and the longest eyelashes I've ever seen.
Soft skin is really important, but honestly if it was all burned off or if he turned into a crocodile I would still love him Shocked and take care of him. It's weird, because I hate feet, but his are absurdly soft on the bottom, and he doesn't even own skin maintenance products.
His nose is very nice. Sort of patrician.
His lips are insane. Super soft and plush.
His eyebrows are asymmetrical and rather generously filled out. They fit him.
I don't like when he doesn't shave, because it's super scratchy on my face... I would be scared if he had a lot of non-ear piercings because they might get caught on things. I have to prompt him to shower and brush his teeth at times, which isn't that great, but fortunately he has very cavity-resistant teeth. It'll improve as he grows up.
I think cleanliness is very attractive.
Also, I hate to point it out because it's something that's hard to control, but I wouldn't touch his face much if he had acne (he doesn't), because that would just irritate his skin and squick me out.

If I was on the look out, height wouldn't matter.

probably, though I might have some trouble finding a guy that's shorter than 4'11.
