Judging by how you talk you are probably from north Jersey, New York City, Connecticut or Rhode Island. Chances are, if you are from New York City (and not those other places) people would probably be able to tell if they actually heard you speak. |
Am more that happy with that
My own accent is Scouse. Well both New York and my home town of Liverpool has lots of connections between each other. My city has been called in the past the New York of Europe, so am cool with that result. _________________ Censorship reflects a society's lack of confidence in itself. I have a Northern California accent. I say dude a lot, as well as totally, like, and hella. However, I do use a lot of internet terminology in real life, so I guess you can say its a cross between Internet and NorCal. However, I do wish I had Tommy Wiseau's accent. _________________ Rule 63 of the inetrnet: If it exists, there is a female version of it and vice versa, no exceptions. |

Your Result: The West
Your accent is the lowest common denominator of American speech. Unless you're a SoCal surfer, no one thinks you have an accent. And really, you may not even be from the West at all, you could easily be from Florida or one of those big Southern cities like Dallas or Atlanta. _________________ Silly NTs, I have Aspergers, and having Aspergers is gr-r-reat! |

| It said that I am from The Inland North. I am not American so it got it wrong, but I just did the test out of curiosity, I knew that it was for Americans. |

| Midland. I'm on the West Coast. Interestingly enough, a coworker was once surprised to hear that I've lived in California all my life; he couldn't quite pinpoint my accent. |

Your Result: Philadelphia
Your accent is as Philadelphian as a cheesesteak! If you're not from Philadelphia, then you're from someplace near there like south Jersey, Baltimore, or Wilmington. if you've ever journeyed to some far off place where people don't know that Philly has an accent, someone may have thought you talked a little weird even though they didn't have a clue what accent it was they heard. _________________ Who knows what evil lurks in the hearts of men? |

Didn't know there was a quiz but I just took it so my results are
| Quote: | Your Result: The Midland
"You have a Midland accent" is just another way of saying "you don't have an accent." You probably are from the Midland (Pennsylvania, southern Ohio, southern Indiana, southern Illinois, and Missouri) but then for all we know you could be from Florida or Charleston or one of those big southern cities like Atlanta or Dallas. You have a good voice for TV and radio.
The Inland North
Philadelphia
The South
The Northeast
The West
Boston
North Central |

I got Philadelphia.
Dang, the stupid quiz is right.
Around here a typical conversation in summer goes like this:
"Hey, Jeet yet? No, Joo? Nah, where ya wanna go? Itza nice day wanna head downashore? Yeah why not. They got good pizza down there"

I was born in KY, but learned to talk while living in North Carolina, so I guess I have mostly a North Carolina accent with a li'l Kentucky accent thrown into the mix! So, I'm "South'un!". haha _________________ An Asperger's man who feels uncertain of his place on the DSM-V criteria.

That's a Southern accent you've got there. You may love it, you may hate it, you may swear you don't have it, but whatever the case, we can hear it.
hmm...well i don't hear it. _________________ tinky is currently trying to overcome anatidaephobia. They're out there and they will find you...

I'm originally from UK (South East) but accent is messed up by 15 years of consulting in 20 different countries.
I recently went to Vegas with some work colleagues from London. We were out at some steak restaurant. I was gettting chatty with the cute waitress, and she said "oh I love those accents of your colleagues".
errm... Well coming from South East England, I was supposed to have the same accent as my colleagues.
Of course, without any knowledge, I had been talking with a sort of US/Wild West accent and she genuinely thought I was a local guy.
Did the same thing with French and South Africans ( I speak some Dutch so I was virtually talking Afrikaans ) ; was lucky he didn't punch me. Very embarassing. |
