I'm havign trouble even typing this out but... the sound of a fork scraping against teeth as someone eats. Because when I hear it... I feel it and I hate everything about it. Fills me with rage.

That kids toy. It's like a vaccuum cleaner only filled with little balls and when they push it the balls bounce around and it makes a popping noise. Hate.

The sound of a phone ringing. The actual phone sound. Cell phones etc are easier to tolerate and thanks to cell phones its not so much of an issue now unless some wise acre sets his ring tone to the classic phone ring sound.

Also pretty much any sound when I'm trying to sleep. Natural sounds are "ok" but if its a tv or someone talking... rage.

Loud noises. Sudden noises. Someone coming up behind me and saying "hi". I startle REALLY easily.

There are some noises that are extremely annoying to me, and some make me agressive to the brink of rage. Most of these noises have a "social aspect", such as annoying laughter, whispering, whistling, bad singing, shouting... but also stuff like fast cars or (VERY ANNOYING) lawn mowers and chainsaws.
Now, I live in a small village where, at least in summer, there's constantly someone mowing their lawn or using a chainsaw or whatever, and our neighbours sometimes have pretty loud parties at weekends. If I'm in a good mood I can bear it, but if not, these noises really infuriate me. I will try stuff something into my ears, cover them with hands, blankets, etc. I get agressive to people around me and insult the people responsible for the noise (when they can't hear me). Sometimes I even imagine killing or severely hurting them.
A few weeks ago, I guess I had my first real overload. I was in a bad mood anyways, and then someone started using a chainsaw in our street. At the same time my mother wanted to talk to me and just didn't notice how agressive I already was. At some point she got annoyed and asked my why I wouldn't talk normally to her, and I explained it was because of the noise. She kinda yelled at me for being so overly sensitive, and that was when it got too much. I felt like I was going to explode, my heart was racing and I felt like crying, I went to my room, locked it, covered my ears so I wouldn't hear anything and laid on my bed in fetal position for maybe half an hour. I even imagined I was still hearing the chainsaw, though I clearly couldn't. It took ages for me to calm down. After a while I could read a little, and then I walked around in the house again, but still with earplugs in. I took them out after maybe an hour and the noises were gone, but I felt overly sensitive for the rest of the day.. like my ears were actually hurt and raw.
Was that what you could describe as an overload? And do you share this extreme sensitiveness to noise? The strange thing is that stuff like rain, wind or thunder don't bother me at all, they're actually soothing and help me sleep.

I'm like you in that natural sounds, like rain, actually sooth me rather than annoy me but unnatural sounds can really irritate me! Last weekend, I kept trying to go outside with a book and soak up some sunshine and birdy sounds but it seemed like every time I tried, someone else would start a weeder, lawn mower, or some other high volume annoying machine. I actually go so irritated, I was talking out loud and that's when it dawned on me that I was headed into an overload situation. I went inside, watched a movie that I had seen before but like and petted the cat. Luckily I calmed down before it went too far. I can totally relate to what you are saying. I've often thought about how much more noise we deal with now that everyone and their brother owns a darn weeder and other such modern marvels.

Some noises "normal" people aren't bothered by are absolutely agonizing to me. It makes my skin hurt and my head feels like it's on fire. The biggest offenders are people hissing the "s"s, people smacking their tongue/lips, dogs barking, babies crying, scraping noises (spoons hitting the bowl as someone eats), slurping, that error noise computers make, and abnormally loud vehicles. I can tolerate machinegun fire and air raid sirens, but these things just make me want to rip people's heads off and top my Christmas tree with it.

Yes, I can't stand:
-lawn mowers
-weed whackers
-people revving up their engines
-burping
-farting
-those armpit sounds
-coughing
-picking scabs
-sound of teeth brushing
-sound of nails on a blackboard
-sound of people crunching or biting ice
-ripping up fabric
-sound of shaving
-firecrackers when it's not the night of a special occasion for firecrackers
-people popping their cheeks
-popping lips
-sound of coins jingling together, it makes my ears ring
-snoring
-continuous dog barking
-loud garage parties
-loud road hockey
-loud anything outside when you're inside
-chewing with mouth open
-gulping
-slurping

I also suffer from sensitivity to sounds. Particularly, loud chewing or smacking, gum snapping, finger tapping or foot tapping, pencil tapping, balls bouncing repeatedly, balloons popping, loud cars or when motorcycles rev their engine (My dad sometimes does this outside of my window before he takes his motorcycle out and it sends me in such a rage I just need to curl up into a ball and scream into my pillow) When my budgie squawks loudly I have to leave the room or cover his cage over, normally I love to hear him chirp but sometimes he just starts squawking and it's so shrill and loud. It makes me angry just thinking about it.

I have sensory issues with all the senses, but the worst are hearing and touch.

With hearing, some of the worst things for me are the sounds of people eating, breathing, etc. Any organic noises like that. Often, the sound of people talking is extremely irritating.

Loud noises like dishes clattering are also very bad.

I can tolerate loud levels of noise with music - but I have to be involved in making it. I also can get irritated or overloaded from things like a guitarist's amp pointed right at my face at loud levels with poor tone. Or just bad sounding musicians in general being too loud.

Noises that really get on my wick are people on public transport with inadequate headphones, the little in-ear ones. I don't listen to Lady Gaga or lmfao because I think they're rubbish so the last thing I want to hear when I'm on my way to work is a really tinny and intermittent version of them. Loud kissing couples make me want to bring up my breakfast.

THIS

especially if they're kissing in a very... weird way
I always thought it was weird this affected me so much, but I'm not alone! :D

Also, the sounds of people eating have been mentioned several times - there's something that is almost as annoying as chainsaws to me, and it's my mother chewing gum. She just doesn't close her mouth. It makes me want to yell at her, really.

I cannot cope with the noise of shouting kids outside, lawn mowers, loud music, and especially the sirens of the ambulances on the road (I live two minutes' walk away from a major hospital) and the roar of the motorbikes.

Today I was travelling on a tram home from Croydon and some kid was crying. I got so stressed out that I started twitching involuntarily and fidgeting very badly. When I got home I locked myself in my room, lights off, and put my industrial-grade ear defenders on and closed my eyes. I curled up on my bed and I felt better a bit later.

I find my industrial-grade ear defenders invaluable. I got them off the internet. If only it could be acceptable to wear them in public, I would have so much less anxiety and meltdowns. I have noise-cancelling headphones for music but they aren't as good.

I'm so tempted to empty my water bottle over a couple every time I encounter it. While it would be somewhat antisocial, it would be pretty harmless and very funny. I'd laugh anyway :)

I feel the same way about these exact sounds. Especially the phone ringing. I will add to this sound to rage list:
-The sound of other people eating
-The sound of mouth breathing
-The noise flip flops make on bare feet.
-Children noises period (sqealing crying laughng screaming)
-Lawn mowers
-Vaccuums

My father and sister both chew with their mouths open. Most annoying sound ever.

Used to hate the sound fluorescent lights seemed to make as a kid.

Can tell when the tv's been left on but it's not quite so bad.
