I actually think this is excellent advice.

1. it's a good idea to put your best foot forward visually, a profile photo should be "you on your best day", and I like the advice to think about who you want to be and then work towards that, people may have radically different goals and I like that you acknowledged that

2. show don't tell! excellent
as a gal, I can tell you guys one thing the profiles I've responded to have in common is they had at least one joke that was completely "my' sense of humor, humor is a really personal thing that varies from person to person so if I can share a joke with somebody right of the bat it's an instant connection
my profile also has some zingers mixed in and when I get a legitimate message (not spam or abuse) they're one of the most common things remarked on.

3.) The thing I like best about your example is that you mentioned something she likes because this shows that you read her profile.
I honestly don't think guys have to stretch too much to be creative because literally just indicating that you've read the words on the profile puts you head and shoulders over most messages.
Anything that does not mention something specific to my profile I assume to be someone spamming (sending lots of profiles the same message). So if you come up with something totally creative and awesome and witty, but it's not specific to me...in the bin.

I gave it some thought and yes, the first step is very important and it's very important that you are trying to attract someone who is similar as well. Like I was saying if you look at a profile and find nothing in common with someone or nothing draws them to you enough to ask them something, there's no point in messaging them in the first place.

An effective way to make someone who's ignoring your messages (checking your profile and never replying - some websites let you know that your messages were read too) to reply positively, you can make a one more attempt with something like: "Ok, obviously you're checking my messages yet not replying, are you interested? yes or no? if no, then farewell." or a ruder sarcastic version: "Too high your horse to reply me, my majesty?" .

Last time I tried this i get a reply in a minute and got the girl's msn contact too.

This works very well with sites with direct chat option.

Wow, I really love life when I read stuff like this. :lmao: :hail:

Such a biased world we live in.

I would dump her instantly though because of that.

gosh, I wouldn't want to date someone who would berate or guilt me into giving them what they want anymore than I'd want to date someone who was ignoring me

Yeah it's basically arrogance answered by arrogance.

But it's funny and it makes me pretty much not want to join dating sites.

I am naturally arrogant so this isn't a problem for me. Fire with fire.

and no, she's not some desperate obese old girl
http://www.twoo.com/photos/?u=196473079 ... 2773#photo

and she's not arrogant - she was probably just playing 'hard to get' so I played in return 'hard to give a f---" --> it's not really playing because this would be my genuine reaction.

Anyway, may the most arrogant prevails!!

oh, i did it again with someone else, but the convo there is all in arabic. It was after several hi attempts with a gap of hours and they were all read by her, my last message was "ok, stay on your high throne, bye bye."

and magically i got a quick hi from her in less than a minute, I don't feel to reply quickly tho. *yawn*

People seem want to get what they are about to lose.

It probably demonstrates that you've got a bit of nuts and guts as well.

It is indeed a compliment. You can never go wrong with a bit of nuts and guts!

The high on your horse line works well, I've used it on a few women who didn't respond immediately and they responded within minutes saying sorry.

I have also used this line which seems to work well.

Quote:
Oh dear, oh dear, the white knights are going to message you because of your looks but if you're looking for someone to date you on originality, you are really going to have to work on that profile. "

This instantly separates you from the white knights in your first message and creates interest.

Which proves a point that Chronos made before: women on dating sites lie when they claim they get too much messages to read all.

Another more 'polite' confrontational line that works too in that situation: "Too shy to reply?" or "Look, if you find me that repulsive just say so, I am not wasting my time trying to get a response from you - bye."

Those lines come naturally to me though, I really have this attitude toward people who rudely ignore me. However my attitude works, you can emulate it. The secret is to make yourself sound "I don't give a f-" (but not in an insulting way.) vs the common "too hard to get" female attitude.

Great post!

I set up a recon profile on OkCupid recently to see what type of messages women typically receive from guys. I just found pictures of some random chick on Facebook and wrote up the profile in about two minutes with just some random cliche verbage (i.e. I love to go to the beach and hang out with friends). Not surprisingly, this recon account got flooded with messages that the word "lame" can't even begin to describe what they were like. To sum it up, they were all basically saying "Do you want some dick?".

Some other things to add to this though:

1) Women want to feel and they want to be intrigued. They love to have fun and are usually up for adventure (at least the type of women I target are). Cliffhangers are your best friends on online dating.

2) Be ready to take things offline as soon as possible, especially if she lives closeby. If you wait too long to ask for her phone number, then someone else is likely to swipe her off her feet and it's likely she may leave YOU on a cliffhanger. Either that, or she'll feel that you just want an online relationship and thus won't feel comfortable communicating by any other means.

I really hope you're not using this quote. Most women will see it as if you are taking it personally and getting upset that she didn't respond back and that you're insecure about what she thinks about you.

Sending her a follow-up message if she doesn't respond is a good idea though, but I would bust her balls and make her feel obligated to reply back without coming off as an attention whore or just trying to get a reaction from her.

Exactly, standing out from those guys is what is going to get you far, those guys are white knights and they are seeking approval or validation.

Quote:
White Knight

A white knight is defined as a male that treats woman as goddesses and does nothing but shower then in compliments on how wonderful and beautiful and special they are. Maybe be used as a noun or a verb.

Women might say they want a white knight but what they really want is dark knight.

Quote:
Dark Knight

An anti-feminist. A White Knight´s natural enemy who on the contrary will defend any woman just because she is a woman regardless if she is right or wrong.

Yes, but he'd probably think you're a heretic, so it wouldn't work out.
