I've changed my mind, I'll scrap my 5 tracks and start over.
I've got a progressing idea. |

My recordings (which are in process) are mostly dance and sound like 90s dance as I'm using Fruity Loops. My tempos range from 90bpm to 170bpm. I usually play around at 112 bpm.
Is there any other website apart from Putfile where (once finished recording) I can put my music? |

If you want "unlimited bandwidth", Putfile is the way to go, as long as your audio files are either MP3s or .WAVs and are less than 25MB!
-OR-
Many sites offer file hosting with "limited bandwidth" on a monthly-basis. One example would be File Den. File Den offers 500MB of storage (once you register for free) with a maximum file size of 50 MB per file. You will be given 5 GB of bandwidth per month and if your files aren't played/downloaded in that time period, they will be automatically deleted. |

ok, here we go ...
http://users.skynet.be/sarahz/sz.html
(my favorite is 'if it',
i'm sorry for the titles but they might change, my poetical skills are still in developement - and might be in this state for a long time)
for those who have more patience (cause downloading is the lenght of time when you start thinking it doesn't load at all), and feel like hearing my theatrical voice experiments as well... :
http://users.skynet.be/sarahz/
the only part that is functioning is the music part, you get on a page with a lot of numbers and some strange voicething is playing. if you don't like that, click number '2' of the
'essais de voix'(='voice experiments' in french) and you'll have silence again.
please be gentl, i'm very fragile when it comes to music. |

Here's some songs I recently recorded. I'm trying out this site I found looking for a free music host. You tell me if it's a good site or not, maybe it's part of an evil corporation, I don't know.

One more thing, I write in french, which is my maternal language. |

What amp are you using for the guitar? --Or is it a modeler like a POD? _________________ "Blessed are the Distinctly Alien, for they shall inherit the Earth." -- Genesis P. Orridge |

On my older recordings, I mostly used my Behringer V-AMPire... kind of like a POD built into an amplifier. It's broken now.
For the 12-String and Bass Guitar on "Song for Leo" and for "Run for Your Life!", I used a GNX-4. Nifty little thing, that. The lead guitar on Coyote Smile is also recorded with the GNX-4.
I now use a Zoom G1-X, with which I am quite happy. It's much better than the Behringer, and I don't have to lug around the massive amp to gigs.
I never really have to use a particular amp, since I can simply plug the G1-X/GNX-4 straight into my computer. _________________ -just because I scratch doesn't mean I have fleas- |

That's really got me thinking, I may be stuck on the road a lot pretty soon and it'd be really smart if I found something real mobile and easy like that. I've heard of producers talking about drawing crowds on the plane because they were sitting there programming an MC-202 on the plane or something but I'd worry about trying to take some of that in the luggage and in a carry-on case I'd be worried about what tends to look like an IED . I might just need to travel with 2 laptops, one for work and one for Reason, Absynth, maybe Kore with plug-ins, and whatever I need to unify all that which doesn't require an Mbox and pricey & spacious monitors.
BTW, we'll be looking foreward to hear some of your other stuff, if that's what you can do with a cheap gameboy cartridge you've already got my interest . |

Incidentally I got in touch with him a the other day, and I like his music, and he seems to be a nice guy.

Sure work and music can't share the same box?

More link dump tomorrow, but until then have this:

Two sides of the same coin really. |

I've finished my first album.
Here are the tracks:
01. Intro
02. Rhythm
03. Stealth
04. Climbing
05. Falling
06. Bit Beat
07. The Style
08. Yo (Dub Session)
09. 2 Drum Solos
10. Claps/Kicks/Drumloops
11. Outro
Total Running Time: 49 minutes 20 Seconds.
Total Size: 54.5MB.
Now, all I've got to do is put them up on the internet.
The album is called "The First Session", as I'm under the artist name of "The Session." |
