Or taking STEM courses and getting a real job.

Maybe they have real jobs but their dream is to star in a major motion picture. Would you cold all over their dreams?

You can break into acting by working for free.

You can make your own movie, High Definition video cameras are cheap.

You have fallen into L. Ron's trap. He targeted celebrities for "conversion" because he knew some people expected to get close to them. You will have a better shot at stardom making YouTube videos, the Church of Scientology will milk you for every dollar you have and rake you over the coals while they're at it

According to This Article from the Bureau of Labor Statistics, roughly 5 out of every 6 actors (~83%) are currently unemployed. The statistics get even more depressing further down the page.

My point is that unless a wannabe actor puts in at least 16 hours, 7 days a week, in training and job-hunting, he or she might be better off to earn a 4-year degree and get an 8-to-5 job in a cubical farm while working in civic theatre and summer stock.

My Filipina girlfriend has a great weakness for the casino, same for her whole family. All the tricks the casinos uses seem to fool her and her family every time. It has almost zero effect on me, its like water roiling off a ducks back. The reverse could be said about aspies and Scientology, it is my personal opinion aspies are very vulnerable to the toxic Scientology cult. Scientology's various appeals would have no effect on my Filipina girlfriend, she probably would not even notice them.

They will uses front groups, they will not let you know it is actually a Scientology group.
There are more than what is on this list.

If you do not know about Scientology start by watching these videos.

From my personal encounters with Scientology members and victims(children) I would stay away from Scientology at all cost. I do have stories but am lazy to write it out.
Actually this helps;

So much has already been said on many sites already.

It would make more sense to convert to Judaism as an aid to breaking into banking. At least it's steady work.

I agree this would have a much greater chance of success than the idea the op proposed.

The more I read up on the real deal of occultism and occult orders the more I have absolutely no clue what L Ron Hubbard was doing. As far as bringing the occult to mainstream things like Mormonism or Europe's Steiner schools makes way more sense than essentially brainwashing people with air-tight thought control and having very little in the way of advantage to the particular member.

L Ron Hubbard was a nutty science fiction writer that stated his intention to start a cult very publicly... then was smart enough to get people to follow him when he went through with it. It was all about the profit for him.

Anyone know?

They would love you to join so they could bleed you dry.

They are reported to put a great deal of effort into recruiting big stars because so many gullible regular people who think that the big stars must know what they are doing will follow suit.

There is absolutely no reason to think that joining Scientology will help you achieve anything and every reason to think it will hinder your achievements.

If you want to be an actor, you'd be better off getting a job at The Cheesecake Factory.

(Is there really such a restaurant or chain?)

Yes there is. Their cheesecake is amazing. The rest of their food is nothing to write home about.

Hubbard's His son tells about the early years of Scientology. Scientology operationally has more in common with the Nazi SS. The closest churches to operate anything like Scientology might be in the medieval French Wars of Religion. No churches today operate anything like Scientology, it really is like comparing the SS to a modern mega church, they are completely different.

James Randy knew L. Ron when he was a writer in a group called the Trap Door Spiders. Short answer Hubbard was an willfully evil man who no one liked.

If you have firsthand knowledge, or were involved in, or are a victim of crimes committed by Scientology here is a guide of what you can do.
