A life of luxury itself is a life in hell, IMO.

Well yes..it's common sense..evolutionary biology and anthropology 101..2

Humans are evolved for intermittent gratification....

This instant gratification thingy..is not at all in harmony with our human nature...

So what i do ..is purposely seek adversity..as i know my human nature thrives off of challenge..adaptation...

and basic survival...TO AVOID HUMAN SUFFERING....

A free ride..is never free....

But the illusion of IT..

IS part of hell2....

Ya never ever never can...
escape ya nature...

But the illusion of that ..sure...

The metaphorical devil...that IS...

REAL HUMAN EVIL..PER GOING
AGAINST..YA HUMAN NATURE...

is just waitin'for Ya...AT THE END OF YA ROPE.....

As the Devil is called the Prince of Lies, I'd have to figure he was probably lying about all that luxury. Besides, "life long luxury?" That there is his loophole to cast us into eternal suffering, because hell is for the DEAD, not the living.

I think I had rather skip the heaven and hell bit, and travel the stars

It sounds like a foreign ontological circumstance. I know its biblical but I can't think of anyone who I could imagine saying "Yeah, that sounds great!"

Generally speaking I'd consider myself the kind of person who both wants to know why he's uniquely here and what he's here to do and how he can do it best. Gaining a life of luxury, coke, hookers, and whatever else is considered glamorous these days - even if hell wasn't on the table - seems like a way toward just putting this life on loop by walking over to the corner of the living room naked to take a piss on the floor.

I worry less about hell truthfully and more about the less than delightful possibilities of what reincarnation can offer for those who supposit their thumbs. When Lavey brought up once that Evil is 'live' spelled backwards - I can't help but think that was deliberate considering the times in which modern English was created and the word games vogue at the time, not because evil is having a good time and living, just the opposite, it is truly 'living backwards'. When it's evil against your own self its calumny, its churlishness, it's like going out with the buds, trying to bang girls every night, and drinking till you're throwing up in the same dive-bar bathroom every night. It's banging everything you can until you've got four or five problems that penicillin can't cure. In that sense I think AE Waite in the Rider-Waite summed 'The Devil' up well in his 15th trump - ie. a bestialized man and woman (conscious and subconscious) changed to a block of half-knowledge and the monster sitting on top of it which was created by the activities of the two based on that half-knowledge.

I always think the perfect way to make me think I was in Hell would be to force me to watch Ellen or Oprah or read 50 shades of grey or something horrid like that. However, I think the vast majority of people would consider that heaven. So going by that theory, if hell has be to the hell that would make the most people (the majority) miserable - it would be something like taking science classes, reading really good writing that makes you think, in which case hell would be my heaven and yes I'd vote for it. In that case.

Hell would be sitting in a room full of Fundagelicals for eternity.

"Better to rule in hell than to serve in heaven"

Well, then if there be a god, then let him task me to prove all his glory even amongst the stars, as my recompense for doubting him.
Otherwise, I am all evolutionist, and the stars looks good to me anyways. something to be curious about and explore.

While I fancy myself a believer, I am also a hardcore evolutionist.

That all depends on how you look at it my dear.

An eternity can be in a moment, like a first kiss, or that of an elderly waiting to die, alone..
Its not how long you exist, its that the moments you do are all your own, for you to choose what to do and whom you want to share them it with.

If life were but a dream, then is it not your dream to live?

Even in all eternity, if your born eventually you will have an end, only that which is eternal shall be forever. therefore, only count and enjoy the moments that you do live, for they are yours and yours alone for all of eternity, regardless of the number.
