Hey, I may be able to do this, I would be quite interested in meeting up :)
count me in. I would NOT like seeing a movie. Parks / museums fine, pubs, all okay.

I prefer south bank myself as both the Festival Hall and the National Theatre are pretty spacious and airy inside. I have been to both in Summer and not found them to be overly crowded. I don't deal well with crowds myself. |
I know normally it not. Just recently with some festivals. I know Jarvis Cocker was doing a bunch of dates there with other bands that he'd picked. But that is over now. I actually quite like gigs, but I know that is not everyone’s cup of tea. |

Of all the London attractions, I've never done the South Bank aquarium since it's been there.
Any good, anyone?
|
It is supposed to be ok. It is more like the old fashioned aquariums apparently. I don't think it is like those new fangled ones with the tubular walkways going through the tanks.
Though some of the reviews said they didn't tell you what the fish are and it cost £13.25 for adults and £11.25 consessions.
Maybe we should start out by the South Bank. Chill there for a while. If anyone wants to go to the aquarium they can go. Others can hang in one of the South bank Foyers or go to the Hayward. Then later we can head over to whitehall / south ken tour museums / parks and then finish up at a quiet pub. Something for everybody
I can do a pickup outside waterloo station just outside platform 1 by whistlestop shop, especially for those who are coming from outside London, or whoever wants to meet there first. |

That would be cool... I come into Waterloo from Southampton and I HATE that station. It is always so busy.
The London Aquarium is great. Been there a few times. I loved it. |

Those are good ideas. I'd be up for paint balling. Know it is not for everybody but as I said you can be as specific as you like. Post them up!
I couldn't care less if you are an Iraqi or Martian. Your nationality has not baring on things.
I recommend if you are not good a talking with people to pick something where there is a focus, like you do paint ball, or even gigs, movies. I literally would be mostly mute when I first started meeting up with people. Just carry on with it normal pressure.
Some people have sensory issues so can't do those. Most of the sounds I don't like don't occur in the gigs I go to, or I can bare it for the sake of the experience. But I don't generally like being in a crowd. Just when there is good music you forget where you are, phase out. |

The good thing about waiting near platform 1 is it the opposite direction form the main exit. But there is a small exit there. I believe you can walk all the way along the back of waterloo station rather than through it towards south bank. |

I think it sounds like fun. I'll think about it, for sure. What sort of time would it be? Thinking of people who live far from London when I say this, as they'd have to buy peak tickets if they wanted to arrive early in the day.
Also - how would we pick each other out of the crowd at the station easily? I know that some of us have posted pictures of ourselves somewhere on WP, but not everyone. _________________ - Everything I ever did, I did because nobody knew how to stop me- |

Well I've done meets from another site. There are thing that you know work, it is not difficult to find that whistle stop just look at the platform numbers and there aren't many people hanging outside platform one, being at the end. |

I see what you mean.
I know where that Whistlestop is.
Usually when I go to london to stay with my mother I walk right across to where the underground is which I hate.
Always got panics on the underground lol. |

Typically I'd say we would start around 1-2pm, but you can come later. People coming from north of England best, get cheap tickets in advance.
There are ways. Better to discuss it closer to the time. |
