Yep...
But most members haven't pinned it.
There's quite a hottie near me in Gainesville... though I've never figured out if she's actual member here.

I can't figure out how to make this map work.
I put in my address and click "Ok," but it ignores me.
I have "NoScript," and I clicked the little button to allow.

Just pinned it. I'm in the suburbs of Philadelphia. Lansdale's my mailing address, but technically I'm in Montgomeryville.

^Pardon if I ask, but you seem like a otaku.
You going to be in Baltimore soon?

I've never been to Otakon, but always have wanted to do so. I used to be more into Anime back in H.S. and college, but life has kept me too busy and too broke to keep up with the old hobby. I went to college for Liberal Arts, Japanese Studies if that gives you any clue. ^_^

I do have a tattoo of Otacon from Metal Gear Solid on my back:

My latest obsession is Doctor Who. ^_^ I liked the classic show, but the rebirth has kinda reawakened my interest.

So, when is the next Otakon? Maybe my husband and I could make some time to finally friggin' go. It'd be neat to meet up with a WPer too! Is Otacon purely anime, or is it a mixed sci-fi/anime/video game/nerd fest?

Nice looking tattoo. Smile
Who is Otacon with anyway?

The date for next years hasn't been set yet.
Though the convention is mainly anime, it has become more of a general geek fest overall now.
It's the kind of thing I imagine most aspies would have an interest in(cept for the crowds perhaps, but it comes with the territory).

In reference to above, you are indeed imagining. Some of us do have an interest in anime, but I don't think "most" of us do. I, for one, do not.

Something as simple as a restaurant would be a good place to meet.

I am still looking forward to meeting some of the WP members in San Antonio in a few weeks.

Otacon is with a modified characterization of Shiva from Final Fantasy. I draw my inspiration for my "Ice Goddess" persona from her. My husband looks a lot like Otacon, so for a wedding present to him, I got the above design permanently inked into my skin.

I'm always up for a geek fest. When there's a date, PM me. We'd love to go. I'll see if I can get my hubby to dress up as Otacon. ^_^

Sure thing. I'll let you know when the next one is. Wink

Oh, hello. <:

I've organized a support group in West Springfield, Mass (01089) that's going to meet at the West Springfield Public Library. We'll be changing times and places for future meetings, but our first will be Saturday, September 6th, from 2:00 to 4:00 PM at the library on 200 Park Street.

We'll be sharing introductions to our own personal experiences as well as resources for Asperger's Syndrome and autism in the area. Walk-ins from anyone with AS or their allies are welcome. <:

This group is for all adults, but we plan to eventually hold meetings specifically for academic support for college students and another for adults 25+, depending on interest.

I don't want to post my phone number on the Internet, but anyone interested can message me. We're small so far, but hopefully growing.

Look forward to hearing from you.
