I've yet to hear of a case of a man being sent to prison for accidentally downloading a couple of photos involving child pornography.
Calling "pedos" a "stigmatized minority" is a bit much.

This man needs a mental institute f**k jail.
If he is indeed having sex to make some of the pictures
he needs a mental institute.
I am against prisons but he definitely needs some help. |

Wow. I am one sick bastard. I've collected magnets, keys, stamps, coins, electric motors, Star Trek merchandise, Marvin the Martian merchandise, and I don't remember what all else. Never occured to me that it's because I have sexual fantasies of Marvin the Martian getting busy with magnets.
And it's very magnamous of you that you "might show more leniency" if somebody's computer was, in essence, stolen and used to download something without their consent or knowledge.
And, just for the record, it is legal to take a nude photo of someone "underage", to find someone "underage" attractive, and to possess a nude photo of someone "underage". None of those make anyone "sick" or "perverted" or whatever, contrary to popular opinion. They do not equate to sexually exploiting children (let alone trafficing children).

| This is shameful for all with aspergers. at the age of 21 an aspergian would know how wrong this is whether they were obsessed or not. If he was low functioning then maybe i could understand not putting him in jail as he probably didn't think about the content much nor understood the implications. But he's not, he's aspergian and would of been very aware of what he was doing, especially when the obsession first started. he should be treated as any one else convicted of the same crime would be treated. |

And if they were part of a larger collection of general porn, and was "mixed in"? Few days of broadband downloading could easily get 10-20k of unique pictures. Considering "paedophelia" has been commercially distributed, anyone with a sizeable collection likely has at least a few paedophelia pics. If 1 out 100 pictures was paedophelia (not an unreasonable guess, considering "underage" can extend to as old as 17)... well, 90,000 pictures is decent collection, but by no means unbelievable. |

I have some porn, but I don't "collect" it. If you're refering to peado, not that I am specifically aware of, but at one time I did own a video that featured an actress who had lied about her age, and was in fact a minor. Wish I knew what happened to it... It was hot. |
