I cleaned my teeth less than an hour ago. I use salt and baking soda rather than toothpaste. I brush after most meals and floss most days. But this is after years of neglect, so my teeth would still shame a peasant. They're plaqueless now, which they weren't for several years, and that revealed a few areas of decalcification. They were smaller than I'd dared to hope, though. They also seem easier to clean the healthier I eat. They seem to need it less. Like, if I eat a lot of junk, I can't get them very clean at all, but after a healthy meal they barely need brushing.
If there's plaque, I also brush before bed. Because of the decalcification, I use a paste (not toothpaste; it's meant to be rubbed on and then left on) containing bio-available calcium and phosphate every day unless I'm traveling and didn't bring it.
When I don't have a toothbrush, I use my shirt over the outside surfaces and chew gum sweetened with xylitol.
On this regimen and with a couple of visits to the dentist, I've gone from unbelievably horrendous teeth to bad teeth. They're still yellow and mottled, but they don't usually feel like they're about to fall out. _________________ I'm using a non-verbal right now. I wish you could see it. --dyingofpoetry

I have a serious disgust with messed-up teeth, either dirty or crooked or whatever.
When I was a kid I had a retainer and I brush my teeth 2 or 3 times daily, plus chew gum all day long. I've never had a cavity. |

| I've gone years without brushing my teeth in the past. These days even though I try to do every evening, I nearly always forget. |

Excellent teeth, never needed any work. Clean them three times a day, use floss and mouthwash, also have a special pattern that I use to brush. _________________ Llamas are larger than frogs.

Once a week, maybe less. I find the norms of hygene way too strict! _________________ Some people are autistic... deal with it!

when i was a kid, i never brushed my teeth. now, i brush them usually once a day, unless i don't go out anywhere. i'm really particular about my toothpaste, though. it has to be gel, not paste, and it cannot be mint flavored. right now, my toothpaste is cinnamon flavored. if i smell mint toothpaste or see someone brushing their teeth, i get seriously grossed out. i really can't stand it. sometimes, i don't use toothpaste at all, and just use water on my toothbrush to wipe away food particles. i do chew a lot of gum, though. i also never floss, because my teeth are really crowded, and the floss keeps getting stuck between them. my teeth are permanently stained and i know i have a lot of cavities. i even have a tooth that really needs to come out, because i've had so many cavities in it that it's more metal than tooth!! _________________ -nicky

You know they make strawberry-flavoured toothpaste for kids? |
Also orange flavored.
(As we spell it in the US.) <<as I'm editing, I realize that's probably rude, and everyone on this board knows about the spelling. It just bothered me having it spelled differently in the same post.
Just had to come back & answer the actual question ~ typically once a day in the morning. And if I ever thought of it, I might do it later as well. |

I clean my teeth after every meal. If I can't, I use mouthwash. I don't have braces, but a little compulsion _________________ Change Your Frequency, when you're talking to me!

| I clean my teeth twice daily. Mostly to avoid cavities. I do not have any obsession over it. Besides, more than this can cause damage to the gums. |
