I was diagnosed at about 8 or 9, maybe 10, and I was lucky enough to have parents who just took it in stride and accepted it.

Hi Geremy welcome

I was only diagnosed myself last year, and now my older son.

All I can say its the best thing that ever happen to me, for the first time in my life feel I am beginning to understand and get to know the real me. My 14 year old son is also very happy to of been diagnosed and a lot of his differences now make sense to him anyway.

But really to be diagnosed or not is an individual decision and only you can decide, but feel you have started your journey and just witting down your thoughts should already start to help...
