Perhaps he meant not blunt/literal enough? Though I don't know how one can test that in a mechanical setting other than trolling for certain replies from you that he "expects" people with AS to exhibit.

Too nice is too ambiguous; a person with no empathy and compassion can appear "too nice" until you turn around and he puts a round in the back of your head.

KingdomOfRats is most likely correct; painting people with the same brush so to speak. People with AS can be aggressive due to it (even Asperger noted this), but it's only one manifestation of the disorder.

I normally start each day with a full tank of "Nice". It's not a large tank. Things like drama, stress, and over-stimulation can empty it PDQ. How nice I am to a person is determined by the fullness of my Nice tank. After my Nice tank is empty, I have to rely on my limited reserves of Civil. You don't want to be around me when I've run out of Civil.

That description fits me perfectly. My way of coping with other people has always been to do whatever they ask of me until they run out of things to ask for and I can finally be alone and do my own stuff. Of course, I tend to get taken advantage of, and when that happens, I can get very nasty.

I've been told "You're too nice to be a Jew".

My friend I had lunch with the other day is a Jew and he is very nice.

My tutor who taught me statistics is a Jew and he was of extremely high intelligence and very kind to me.

I cannot see the connection between not being nice and being of any particular religious persuasion.

You should have asked for a further definition of 'too nice'. But I admit I can never remember to ask such questions myself. Try to ask the next time you have the chance then.

You can mention that the DSM-IV-TR and ICD-10 criteria for AS don't say anything on personality.

These other things are called personality disorders for a reason.

If you say this in a really superior tone the professional may change their opinion and stop saying you're nice. But I would advice against it - they might dislike you strongly after this. Wouldn't be helping with the diagnosis.
