crimebabe: regarding the 20 sets of leg presses with rather low weight - you might be interested in this article here: http://www.t-nation.com/readArticle.do?id=1305014
it delves into indications that males and females react the same way to the same kind of exercise, i.e.: what makes a guys muscle grow makes a girls muscles grow, as well as running a lengthy (and quite informative) critique of the classic "girls routine" in gyms.
just pretend the corny uh-im-so-manly-talk wasnt present in the article, as the rest is quite sound advice.

Running with my HFA son's best friend's Mum, if that makes any sense Smile
She's doing a woman's triathlon, so she hops on her bike and picks me up - we run - and she hops back on her bike and off she goes! Laughing
All this is after the kids are asleep.. I must admit the dark is quite nice when you're just getting started - don't feel like such an idiot. And don't have time to feel like an idiot, cause we're chatting about the kids and stuff.
So I'm happily surprised that it's all working out - I've never been a great one for sports.

Good luck and lots of positive vibes! Star * Heart * bounce * flower * cheers

I want to say thank you again to everybody who has posted on this thread. I am almost completely sure that I wouldn't have managed even one walk without your support/participation. Smile

I look forward to hearing more about how it's going , yoga, running, weights, treadmills, kettlebells, exercises etc! Very Happy How is the pool, Hartzofspace?

Phew! Good Very Happy Congratulations!

Good walk tomorrow.
Thank you.

It was alright, though I am getting a bit worried about my knees on the steep up and down slopes; they're starting to ache/stiffen/pull a bit. ( have always had weak knees, which is why can't run). It's slowing me up a little too, which means less aerobic/cardio effect.

So I think will switch to the other "circuit" which although has the same up-slope at the start , doesn't, as far as I can remember, have such severe down gradients. Which will make a change too. Smile

PS: Noticed cheekbones more visible again ... I'm not fat, but I was getting "pasty", and just the last 2 weeks exercise has already had an effect! Very Happy
