How about Gerry Sienfield. I love how he can crack the jokes, and still keep a straight face.

Charlie Chaplin definitely was. He had all kinds of rituals and wasn't much for social situations. Plus he was brilliant. :)

I can definitely see that. My husband has a wonderful sense of humor and my teenage son fancies himself an amateur comedian. They have a specific type of humor, though, that's not always appreciated by some clueless NT's.

I've been trying to talk my son into becoming a stand-up comic for YEARS.

His off-beat, crazy sense of humor carried him through the high school years.

My humor didn't really make NTs laugh as much until later in high school.

If he's ever in Chicago I can help get him started. I have connections.

I'm surprised nobody mentioned Steve Martin. His reputation for being reclusive and private is eccentric in a celebrity. His autobiography reveals him to be introverted, analytical and highly intelligent with people/emotional issues. He has a degree in philosophy, which explains the "Anthropologist on Mars" theme recurrent in his comedy. The protaganist/narrator of his first full novel, "The Pleasure of My Company", clearly has Asperger's and/or OCD (the active light bulbs in his apartment maintain a sum total wattage of 1125).

Demetri Martin. He's highly intelligent, was obsessed with solving puzzles as a child, socially awkward in high school. Is divorced and makes alot of aspie-like jokes and has a very dry delivery.

As far as the ones without a diagnosis, I think we're reaching guys. The only one that really rings true to me is Andy Kaufman (There was obviously SOMETHING going on there).

Demetri Martin, it's hard to say. I've never seen him out of his stage character.
