It might, concerts are highly noisy and if you have a meltdown you're gonna have a hardtime getting out of the area. Moshing is great fun, though.

I went and saw serj tankian and it was by far one of the best experiences of my life.

I'm thinking of going to a Dream Theater concert next year as a graduation trip. Would that be too much?

you have a year to grow and develop and change, then you can answer that for yourself!

I'd say go for it. If you're not comfortable with the contact and interaction with other people in the crowds, just stand at the back and enjoy the light show. +1 on the earplugs, I used to suffer horrible tinnitus for a while after a gig, I wish I had worn earplugs.

I went to the Royal Albert Hall to see Kaiser Chiefs and wore earplugs and was on the back row of a tier. Worked well, heard everything but the vibrations go through your body and that took some getting used to. Being seated helps you to relax too, I don't think I would do any gig standing.

I don't think it would be too bad, if it's your first concert just expect to be a little shocked about how loud it is and all the people and everything.

I go to concerts all the time and love to go into the moshpits cos I feel it gives me an adrenaline rush of sorts Razz

The first concert I went to I was a bit overwhelmed at first but quickly got used to it.

Nah, a year ago one of my friends took me to a rob zombie concert with him and it was pretty fun, even if I fell in a mosh pit Laughing

Yes it could be a little much. When I saw Slayer I found that the lights made me very sleepy becuase they were sooo flashy. I've been to other concerts and that hasn't happened there.

I would reccommend you don't mosh on your first metal concert, especially if you are by your self. Get a seated ticket, you can always jump the fence and mosh for a little (i don't think anyone would take your seat Very Happy )

I think you'd be okay. But just in case, try and stay at the back of the pack, and don't go into the mosh pit area. Razz

i think you'll be fine, if you dont go in the pits, also it might be abetter experience if you would got to a for example enter shikari concert because, the most extreme thing that will happen would be the odd human pyramid and crowd surfing

unlike job for a cowboy even walking into the gig area or room would at a guess be suicide

my advice might not be that goodthough because the forst time i'll be goin to a gig would be tonight to watch my freinds perform
