What are physical health problems that go with Asperger's?

Don't know if it's related to AS, but I get emotional indigestion sometimes.

I've noticed allot of people with autism having Ibs and migraines. Sometimes I get them both at the same time

My guess is headaches, increased risk of stroke/heart attack, and high blood pressure.

I have hypoglycemia, Ashtma. I think I have isb. I have had a lot of headaces and have got sick to my stomach a lot when I was 13 up until now

i was diagnosed with multiple sleep disorders, low muscil tone(it hurts to hold a pencil too hard)
and afew different personality disorders but think only sleep is related to my AS

I think allot of people with AS are anemic too.

If you have low muscle tone in your mouth and throat, you could have sleep apnea, which runs on my husband's side. But low tone could occur in different areas of the body, so you won't see it in all aspies, and not all in the same place. But if you have any speech oddities or pronunciation problems, plus sleep problems, you might look into that.

Also from what I have been noticing with a lot of the spectrum kids I know is that low tone in the abdominal muscles causes digestive problems.

I believe digestive problems are also related to allergies, because the GFCF diet seems to help alleviate allergies for us, and a lot of these kids seem to have lots of allergies.

I also read somewhere that a very high percentage of spectrum children also have seizures.

Epilepsy? I was anemic as a baby and have scolosis but always thought those were due to my biological mother not taking care of me or holding me properly, plus I never stood up straight becuase I was ashamed all the time.

Clumsy child syndrome topic

I have always been unco-ordinated and very slow. Lately due to aging and arthritis, it is worse. My dyspraxia is moderately severe and I am unable to co-ordinate my body with a machine satisfactorily and therefore am unable to drive a motor vehicle, use a keyboard, or any activity requiring dextrous eye-hand co-ordination or gross motor fluidity.

i agree that many physical problems are accompanied with autism

in asperger (i mean the german scientist ) research he has noticed that most of them have

thin bodies and less susceptibility in physical activities
