YES!!! My mom always complained about how loud I am when I was a kid, and my job coach seems to think I'm always "snapping" at her.

Do people ever accuse you of yelling when your not?

Yes.
Just last night when I arrived home from being out I was talking to my mother.
She says to me..."Calm down, stop yelling".
I said..."I am calm".
She replied..."Shhh, quiet".

I just gave up and said nothing more.

If only I had a dollar for every time I was told I was being too loud. I know my friends don't mean to hurt me when they say that, but it hurts all the same. They never understand that I have no idea how loud I am. I have even had these comments at work. Along with that was that "you have a bad attitude". I am usually confused by this as I generally never thought I had a bad attitude, but apparently other people thought so. I've had that since high school. Its very hurtful and causes problems at work when my evaluations say that I need to be more professional, watch my tone etc. They don't know how much I am already watching it!!! Honestly, there are so many times during the day where I would just like to tell someone to F off and leave me alone, but I don't. I do have that much control. And I always try maintain my composure and my facial expressions, but who can control those???
