Letting your children play with infected children is irresponsible. Something like measles could well kill them them. |
I was referring to chicken pox when I said that. If there was a measles outbreak they'd be kept home from school until the outbreak was over. _________________ We are a fever, we are a fever, we ain't born typical...

What if we hadn't vaccinated against, say, smallpox?

I don't know how things work where you're at, but where I'm at, the schools don't tell you a damn thing until the very last minute, making unvaccinated kids here very susceptible to getting really, really sick.
So over here at least, not vaccinating your kids IS dangerous and stupid. _________________ My site: Thoughts of an Autistic (updated May 20, 2008)

Parents talk to each other and word gets around, simple as that... playground talk, someone says "Oh, by the way, did you hear little Jimmy has _____?" and there you have it, your first warning long before the school will say anything. Usually it's only something benign like impetigo or headlice, but I imagine it'd be even quicker were it measles. _________________ We are a fever, we are a fever, we ain't born typical...

Doh!!!! Maybe the failed vaccination caused the problem, damaged your immune system. There was no measles vaccination when I was a child. I and EVERY child in my school got measles and none of us had any associated health problems.
The truth is that dodgy vaccination caused the 1918 flu epidemic and probably AIDS too. As pointed out by your experience, it's just a huge no-brainer money-spinner for big pharma who care more about their profits than our health. _________________ The value of your investment may go down as well as up. |

Wow.
Over here that would've worked when I was in school, but it doesn't now.
Over here, nobody says ANYTHING until it's too late. _________________ My site: Thoughts of an Autistic (updated May 20, 2008)

That's really sad. Why is that? Is it the school trying to hush things up or the parents just not wanting to admit to having a sick child or what? _________________ We are a fever, we are a fever, we ain't born typical...
