minority where? In what geographical location? In Africa, do you think they would be in the minority? what about India? are non white Aspies the minority there? and in China and in Japan?
I can see that a major portion of the diagnosed Asperger's Syndrome folks might be ghostly white, but that is simply because it is in that demographic that the Syndrome is in The States. (i.e. majority of all diagnosed folks) But the world is wide, and the assumption does not hold when the demographics widen.
so I don't think it is safe to say that non white Aspies are the minority until we have some sort of way to measure the world's Aspies.

What the hell would you want a conscience for anyway? It'll just screw up your ability to judge things fairly.

Frankly... he was somewhat more biased about who he disliked than you give him credit for. I'm fairly certain he loved the German people in his own way; he just had a rather narrow definition of "German". |

All I can offer is I have observed a phenomena among lower-income-level blacks (I'm speaking of the kids, now) to tease and bully other black kids for what they call "acting white." "Acting White" means (in general terms) valuing education, speaking a more formal style of English, doing well in school, and/or having "special interests" not involving sex, drugs, or violence.
Seriously, how many black nerds can you think of? That one kid doesn't count - he was a tv character. 
NOT saying blacks (or any other color) can't/don't have AS. I'm saying it might be more looked down upon, less tolerated. Sort of how homosexuality is less tolerated/accepted among blacks than whites. Some even claim that there are less gay blacks than gay whites. I don't believe this is true - I just believe it's hidden more and denied more and suppressed more in the black community (and this is by no means exclusive to the black community).
Just my two cents.
/have also been teased/bullied by low-income white kids for being smart, doing well in school, and using "big words" |

I'm not sure how it is in other countries, but in the US, race is a major cultural division. Minorities tend to have a strong sense of community among themselves, and there's a lot of pressure on their members to be "normal" by the community's standards.
For example, the black community really looks down on homosexuality. Members who wish to continually be gay tend to either disassociate themselves from that community or practice secretly. I'm sure other differences from what's expected (like AS) are often hidden in the same way.
There's probably not a greater percentage of white aspies, but very likely a greater percentage of "open" white aspies. |
