1.Bringing things that I found in nature into my room, i.e. empty tortoise shells, rocks that I painted, sceletons of bird's heads would have my mom freaked

2. My anxiousness and seriousness about "small things"

3. I hated getting up in the mornings - school started at 07:15!

My "laziness" (for not being able to keep my house clean & tidy), "selfishness" (for expecting my elderly parents to still take care of me instead of the other way round), and "extravagance" (for repeatedly buying stuff I don't need on my credit cards so that they have to pay them off).

All perfectly justified complaints from their point of view - but it's not that I want to be this way (well, maybe I do want to buy the stuff....)

1. "Selfishness," but they never explain HOW I am slfish, so I don't know what I'm doing wrong.

2. "Condencension" Once again, they never explain HOW I am being condecending! How can I correct this apparent "flaw" if they don't tell me what about me makes it so?!

3. Procrastination

$. Taking things too literally.

6. Being too serious, not having a good sense of humor.

7. Being too quiet and not smiling often enough.

8. My picky eating.

Anxiety

I got yelled at for that a lot in my teens.

You got yelled at for being anxious? How did your anxiety present?

Crying, screaming, getting stressed out over the house being a mess. Also got stressed out for having anxiety for unexpected changes, being scared about something like the time when we were going up a hill and we were going really slow and my Dad mentioned the engine was about to give out. I got scared thinking we'd roll down the hill in our RV and possibly crash so I panicked and my mother got mad at me. Turns out my Dad was bullshitting and I took him seriously but it was hard for me to understand she was serious about that.

My meltdowns could be called legendary. Breaking things and cursing at the top of my lungs after an accumulation of slights and being taken for granted. To them they appeared out of no where, but to me they were a great emotional release and cleansing.
I think I have grown beyond them, but they did cause irreparable damage between me and some family members.

1. They always complain that "I'm always stuck in my cave" because I like to be alone. They also constantly complain that I have nothing to talk about (I actually do have things to talk about, but it's rarely anything I'm interested in. The only time we really get a discussion going is when were are discussing politics and current events.

2. Before I was Dx'd they always thought I was lazy because of my problems multi-tasking and my sensory issues.

3. They are constantly complaining about the volume on the TV or radio because I turn it up so I can hear it without their talking distracting me because of my CAPD.

Sluggishness. I take forever to get out of bed, too long to shower, and am pretty slow in general. Combine that with laziness... oh noes.

My mother called me the pokay Little puppy because I was slow every morning for school and church. She also told me to "Pick up those rings be Sonic."

This is another thing that drives my parents nuts. It takes a lot of effort to will myself to do things.

new ones they just started on:

my insistence of buying movies that I liked or think I might like constantly.
I buy THREE VHSs and they get on my case... so what if I already have 400+ different movies on DVD and VHS? I WANTED those three too! The only time I hear no complaint is when it's something they like or want to see...

The habit I have of refusing to share my things with the brotherly type creatures. The last time I loaned DVDs out to them they A) did not come back in the condition I lent them in and B) They didn't give them back for about four MONTHS
plus they STILL have my PS2 slim and my WII
