YES I AM!
absolutely! *high fives*
Seriously, this is an exact depiction of me. When I'm with my friends, I'm super comfortable and outgoing (specifically outside of school.) However, when I'm in school or around people I don't know, I am extremely shy.

no. i mean sometimes i can be a boisterous, crazy, happy, ecstatic person, depending on whether i'm around people i have a lot in common with/known for a long time. and if i'm on medication. but that isn't my definition of outgoing. there are periods where i can interact and socialise to a degree, but then i'll disappear into a cave for months or years.

I have difficulty getting to know and trust people, but once I do I have no trouble confiding in them.

Depends.

When the conversation pertains to my interests, I tend to dominate it.

When its just normal "small talk", I basically go into radio silence mode, as I don't really get it (or I get it but I have no idea how to add to it)

(that's why I do so well with other aspies; I have so many interests and I dabble in so much other stuff that there's probably not an aspie on earth I couldn't have a 3 hour+ convo with)

Except me, somebody who's learned to master the small talk world Razz
Though I still can't stand the question "How are you?" as you're not allowed to say you're bad, as people laugh at you Shocked

Shy and retiring, very quiet. Just don't let me get onto a favourite subject or I'll go extrovert on you and talk none stop, very fast and LOUD. Laughing

I'm very much like this. When I first heard the terms "introvert" and "extrovert" I felt schizophrenic - I really felt like I was both, depending on the circumstances and who I was with and how I was feeling and what the topic was.

When I'm with my friends, I'm goofy and talkative. They were even surprised when I told them that people at work think Im the quiet type because they don't see me that way.

I'm like that. I'll be very outgoing with my close friends, but really reserved around those I don't know well.

Yes!

I'm like my cat, with people I don't know very well, I'm edgy and shy and jittery. With friends and family, I'm outgoing.

Given the opportunity I can go on for hours about a favourite subject, but I don't really have any friends of similar interests, just similar circumstances, so I'm quiet most of the time. However while I seem introverted one on one I have little difficulty speaking to crowds.
