My guess would be Texas Texas is by far the biggest ranching state.

What's so bad about LA? It's sunny all the time there and is somewhat more liberal than the south/texas. |
Actually, most of our ranching is cattle. _________________ When you need something, that's a responsibility, that only an adult...of my maturity...Bunnies!!!

Sheep, goats, mohair and the associated industries are a major agricultural enterprise in Texas. Texas leads the nation in lamb and wool production and is internationally famous for its wool and mohair. Texas is also the leading state in goat production with approximately 1.4 million head.

Though it's unclear whether that means Texas has the most sheep per capita, or whether it simply has the most sheep total (just because the state is so big) |
