For me, it's Two-Headed Boy, by Neutral Milk Hotel.
Then again, most of the songs on In An Aeroplane Over The Sea make me cry with joy.

And it's so good to hear that Michael's returning with money he's sure to buy land

I'm sorry I didn't write sooner, to tell you that father has gone.
He was living with Brigid, she said he was cheerful and healthy right down to the end
And you should have seen him play with the grandchildren, of Pat McNamara your friend.
And we buried him alongside of mother, down at Kilkelly churchyard
He was a stone and a feisty old man, considering that life is so hard.
And it's funny the way he kept talkin' about you, he called for you at the end
And why don't you think about comin' to visit, we'd all love to see you again.

The Hex Dispensers' song, "Forest Ray Colson", used to make me cry because the story was similar to that of a friend of mine who was killed by police. Then I learned that their song was about a famed mass murderer of yore, not someone they knew. So I wrote my own song about my dead friend.
And not long ago, I was listening to The Minutemen - Double Nickels on the Dime - while driving around my new city, and I started thinking about D Boon and how he died young and all, and this made me cry a little even though I never met him. 
There are some songs I literally can't listen to without crying. So I don't listen to them much if at all. If I can remember what they are, I'll post a list. |

Hallelujah by Jeff Buckley, it's a beautiful song and I didn't recognize its beauty properly until my grandma died last year. It makes me think of her.

Good love songs not any of that fake crap that somebody made in the back of a smoke filled room for someone to lip sink 
I mean real stuff like if you know of that song I forget the name b/c I'm bad with them I think it's Roxanne anyway that's a real love song, albeit a secret one
