Well, I do consider it thus. |
Maybe a discussion is needed on the defintion of the term, "credible news source." |

No, Stephen Colbert has already defined 'newsiness' and 'truthiness'. Truthiness: "things that a person claims to know intuitively or "from the gut" without regard to evidence, logic, intellectual examination, or facts." |

it wouldn;t fly there either because no one who understands geology snd erosion would consider entertaining this notion. As I said before look into soil types and how they lay on the land. this is something you learn about in geo 101
I would accept this mans drawing from a 5th grader just learning about erosion. I would not accept it from a 7th grader, as a 7th grader should be studying erosion indepthly enough to know why that picture is inherently wrong |

ok...granted (big stretch here)
We melt both polar ice caps, and all the snow on all the mountains, rain for 40 days over the entire earth....
where did all the water come from? and go?
Cephid Variables are the ones used for farther star measurements. Beyond that, I don't know, we didn't cover that in Astronomy class back when I took it...
This is right up there with the political appointee at NASA who went over all their press releases to make sure that 'the big bang' was either preceded or followed by the word 'theory'... |

The strongest evidence against the "biblical" flood, are the fossil rivers which are found at various levels in the geologic column. They can be seen in the landscape and traced by seismic or magnetic surveying (see below).
Here are fossil river channels buried under a field in England.
And here in the United States; these two river channels are stacked on top of each other, the rivers flowed and were buried again and again. This proves a single flood didn't cause them, instead they took millions of years to form.
Two Fossil river channels. |
