I think a sauna would be nice too, but I never tried it.

Not especially @_@

It's just steam, so it's all this incredibly intense humidity. I had a Native American style one, and it was a bit too much for me...we didn't even go to the higher levels. He tells you when it gets too intense, to cup your face to the dirt for a while...I had to do that once or twice. Not to mention, I got a lot of sweat in my eyes, and that burned quite a bit.

But afterwards, you get out into the dry cool air (relative to the sauna), drink some sports drinks, and eat some sweet fruits...really nice.

When I was recently tested for Aspergers, one of the questions was if I like taking long showers. I do and I tend to have them very hot. My partner tends to think that the water is scalding while I think it's hardly warm. A former partner said the same thing. I am wondering if this is some sort of sensory issue with me.

How do you feel to the touch during the day. I'm sure my bf takes scalding showers becasue he's constantly freezing. I on the other hand, am constantly hot so my showers are likely cooler than his

Yes! I LOVE very hot and long showers. I tend to like summers and warm temperatures in general. It's comforting - makes me feel like I'm being held, or something.

I just stand in the shower and let the hot water run down my body. I get so lost in thought that I forget that I'm supposed to be conserving water. My step brother complains about me taking so long. Laughing

I have a similar problem except it is sort of the opposite. I have a problem with temperatures and I am usually too hot so I take alot of cold showers. But when I do take a warm shower it is usually so hot that it leaves red lines down my body.

Another thing is that there is only one shower in my house that I will use and I will only take a shower not a bath; there are 5.5 bathrooms in my house in all. I will only use this one bathroom for anything too. I hate when other people use the same bathroom as me so I picked one in the house that is sort of out of the way so it is rarely used by anyone else. I have everything in my bathroom organized and when people use it and mess it up it drives me crazy.

I looooooove hot showers! I find warmth very calming, and I have a relatively low sensitivity to heat so I can handle pretty hot temperatures. Last week I was showering with my fiance (sorry if that's TMI) and he said the water was too hot, even when it felt almost lukewarm to me! I tend to use up all the hot water without even realizing I've been taking so long.

Try to avoid showers.

When I was younger I was afraid of the water getting in my eye. Now, I don't care about that. But I prefer baths as I like to lay down and relax.
