I'll take ice cream, any day. _________________ Sid The Rat is everything that I stand for. We're both large, proud Punkers with Cockney accents. We both have the same issues, as well. I don't see anything wrong, with that. I was put on this planet, to make myself happy. Sid :O) |

Ice cream for sure!
I've actually never smoked a cigarette before, but I do enjoy the occasional cigar. Knowing what goes into cigarettes, and the fact that I don't like the smell much, has kept me from trying them. _________________ Well. That was a hastily unloaded pile of incoherence. |

I have the feeling it would be easier to quit opiates than cigs. I quit for six weeks once and it was the most miserable six weeks of my entire life. Never ever ever quitting cold turkey again.
And the funny thing is, I've been on medications that most people form addictions to, but nothing ever happened when I was taken off them/went off them; the downside to that is that when I need a minor dosage of some things that have worked doctors won't rx it for me because of the addiction risk (benzodiazepines for example). Other than cigs I've never been addicted to a thing in my life, and I'm not quite sure why I can't get rid of them without bad side effects. _________________ There are only 10 types of people in this world: those who understand binary and those who don't. |

I react to smoke the same as all other species do.
I react to icecream the same as cats do (except I'd eat it before it melted). _________________ Checkout: Folding@home!

Ice cream, all the way.
While it might be bad for your health in large amounts, Cigarettes will kill you.
Eating ice cream is no where near as bad as inhaling poisonous chemicals.
And from what I've heard, the nicotine high from a cig isn't all that wonderous. And when you don't have one, its ten times more horrible.
Ice cream is yummy, can be made healthier and eaten in small amounts. It causes a happy reaction in your brain, cools you off on summer days, and goes great with chocolate.
Its and instant cure for depression, comes in awesome boxes that can be used for drums.
Etc, etc.
And all the bad effects of ice cream can be erased with some effort.
A few pounds goes away faster then a blackened lung or five eyed baby.

Well, I can't stand cigarettes, and I'm a pretty big ice cream fan, so I think this one is a no brainer.

I much prefer ice cream but I think the ice cream I had earlier isn't agreeing with me. My stomach feels weird. _________________ Our greatest glory is not in never falling but in rising every time we fall.

*waving hand* I'd love to say ice cream but it makes me miserably sick! I hate being lactose intolerant. Grrr.
And somehow I managed to pick up smoking when I was trying very hard for the first (&last) time in my life to be just like everyone else. Why? I'm not entirely sure...it was college though. _________________ There are only 10 types of people in this world: those who understand binary and those who don't. |

I`m right here. Dumb to smoke, one of few pleasures I have left.
Tried the nicotin gum, but they just wouldn`t stay lit. |

Are cigarettes cheap in the USA anyone?
In this part of Canada they are ridiculously expensive. They go from $11 to $12 usually. In other parts of Canada you can get them for as little as $6.25 (That's how much they cost in my part of the country back in 1998 or so when I started 'experimenting' with cigarettes. I was 11 years old). The government decided to start taxing the hell out of cigarettes in the early 2000's and added disgusting pictures to the front of cigarette packages to try and deter people from smoking (idiots). If the government wants people to stop smoking then why not stop selling them altogether instead of making people poor? On top of making people poorer, they spend taxpayers money to put out all of these stupid anti-tobacco ads. To me this shows that the Canadian government (and most governments) are senseless greedy morons.
Here are some Canadian cigarette packages:
Here's some ice-cream :
