At the same time, too. But seriously, it only sucks because we don't live in an AS-orientated world. I'm not grumbling and saying that the majority should go out of the way just to make sure that we have an easy and comfortable life, but it's always hard to be in the minority, any minority.
Not being able to understand body language, facial expressions and hidden intentions is a huge drawback to anyone with AS, but most of us have original thought processes, good lateral thinking, an ability to concentrate on one thing for an insane amount of time, and an unusual sense of humour. None of those things should be sneezed at. _________________ ACHTUNG all WP'ers...I will not be online from Aug 18th for a while due to a house move. I'd have to go with yes, it does. I'm sick of feeling like an outcast, I'm sick of feeling like I'm a reject. So for me it does. I really do admire people that have accepted it so well. _________________ Only two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity, and I'm not sure about the former - Albert Einstein |

Yes it does SUCK
The only good thing, if you can call it that, is that now I know that I'm not the only one in the world with this condition. |

Yeah... plus it sucks to finally be undepressed enough to return to your normal online friends on other messageboards and relize they make obvious jokes about having autism/AS that have been going over my head...
I feel like a MORON
Sigh, wonder if they noticed I finally joked back. _________________ Strange mix of bird/Sonic obsession... I like the Flickies! |

It's mainstream society that sucks. _________________ Sid The Rat is everything that I stand for. We're both large, proud Punkers with Cockney accents. We both have the same issues, as well. I don't see anything wrong, with that. I was put on this planet, to make myself happy. Sid :O) |

| The only thing that I can think of that sucks about Aspergers is sometimes I unintentionally say something rude to someone and they get mad. |

Hey I don't feel unfortunate at all. There are LOADS of good things about it!
It may be hard at times but I personally think that the good things outweigh the bad things. |
