Wow, a lot of you left-wingers are just as closed-minded and bigoted as you accuse your opposites of being, the #1 indication being how the guy's said that he does not want a gun control debate, and when the other guy points that out, you call him a "right-winger" as an insult. Then we get into all the pseudo-Marxian babble about black/white, rich/poor, etc.... Left-wingers seem to love to toss around "white" and "privelege" as insults too, which is just as petty and despicable as some skinhead who looks at any Jewish person as being a part of some giant conspiracy. Leftists do the same damn thing. Judge a devil by his deed for f*ck's sakes and quit with the self-loathing crap, no one respects people who can't respect themselves.

That person you speak of who might lose the court case, if he was mentally unstable to the point that he really wanted to hurt someone, the lack of a gun would not stop him.... He could use a machete, an axe, a knife, a rock, a lava lamp, his fists.... anything.... I live in Canada where legally obtaining anything outside of having a longgun for hunting or collecting is damn near impossible.... But yet every week in my city, I read about some shooting. These aren't kids using their daddy's shotgun, the primary weapons are 9mm semi-automatic pistols which were obtained off the street. The criminals will always have guns. Also, before guns, people cut each other open with blades aor bludgeoned eachother to death. Should we ban all hard substances or sharp edges?

In my opinion, an autistic person who is into guns would likely be more responsible than an NT, as they tend to take their hobbies very seriously and would be less likely to skip crucial details or procedures such as making sure that the gun is not left loaded within reach of others.

AS for that story about Rosie O'Donnell, what a disgusting pig. What a waste of flesh (and a lot of it at that).... That fat pig would have been roasted if she'd said that to me.

possible responses to this thread:

1. autistic people shouldn't be allowed guns but the rest of the (general) population should (unlikely because this is a site for people with AS).
2. only autistic people should have guns and they should be illegal for everyone else (even more unlikely that the first option).
3. no one should be allowed guns whether they are on the autistic spectrum or not (but no one is allowed to say this because it conveniently comes under the category of "gun control").
so the only option is.....
4. being in complete agreement with the person who wrote this thread.

not only is gun control relevant to the topic, but it is essential in order to have a fair, balanced discussion.
