It's not really high-school that's the problem, it's the idiots at high-school.
It seems most adolescents become jerks when going through puberty. I'm often made fun of due to the way I speak because I speak quite formally, not omitting any letters. (On the flip side, I find it rather annoying how they speak so informally, but I don't mention that too much)
My elementary school was worse, though. (I really hated most people there) _________________ "I mean, it's either pirates, aliens, Nostradamus, the Apocolypse, or Nazis. Or worse things like alien pirate Nazis who know the future of the end of the world(scary stuff)!" |

high school sucked so much that i graduated a year early. back then it was unheard of, and i was the first in my district to do it. i found a binder of the district policies in the back of the library (where i worked), and learned that graduation could happen when you had so many credits. i took english 2 through a correspondence course over the summer after freshman year, and that pushed me to the required number of credits to graduate after 3 years. it took a lot of arguing with school and isd officials. i was never a junior in high school. a few years later the state instituted a policy where people who did exactly what i did could get a few thousand dollars towards college. suck.
junior high sucked worse. and college sucked almost as much, but had a lot of side benefits outside of the curriculum. _________________ What will happen in the morning when the world it gets so crowded that you can't look out the window in the morning?

Also, here's 3 reasons of why I don't want to go back to high school:
I always have trouble with schoolwork too much.
I can't always make friends.
I also get ignored too much.
There's no one like me in high school. _________________ My famous Livejournal:

| I thoroughly disliked secondary school until I stopped trying to fit in and threatened a few of the popular girls into staying far, far away from me and my friend. As an adolescent I realised that I was different so I tried to fit in but that put so much stress on me and my family that I eventually gave up and fumbled around in my own little world. I spent most of my time behind the computers and talking to the guy in charge of the library we had. There were some rumors going around about me and I'm certain a few of the girls tried to pick on me but at the time I didn't quite pick up on that. |

I think 'High School' was the best time of my life (so far, at least)
Since this is probably the 10th thread about the subject , I'll ask away... If I've understood correctly, in US secondary education is obligatory and everyone goes to HS? Here it's a bit different
| Quote: | | Education after primary school is divided into vocational and academic systems, according to the old German model. Traditionally, the systems do not interoperate, although some of the de jure restrictions have recently been lifted. In particular, an important difference vis-à-vis other systems is that there is no common "youth school" — ages 15-19 are spent either in a trade school, or in an academic-oriented upper secondary school. Trade school graduates may enter the workforce directly after graduation. Upper secondary school graduates are taught no vocational skills and are expected to continue to tertiary education. |
Usually the bullies, 'tough guys', those not interested in school... go to trade school; so no wonder I liked High School so much
Don't take this as bashing the US system, in turn I think tertiary education in Finland is screwed up, but that's another matter |

| There were some really lame pathetic people in high school who thought they were super tuff, but other than that most of the people I met in high school were pretty nice and fun to talk to. |
