I have for many years. When I was in grade school, my best friend (also on the spectrum) and I used to think that we were aliens that had been mistakenly put on someone else's planet and we would meet more like our own at some point. I still wonder if there's a "right planet" out there somewhere where I would've better fit in, as I continue to feel like I'm not similar enough to everyone else to really get what I want out of the world. :\ I'm holding out hope that there are other "aliens" like myself to meet, though.

I am alien! I am observing humans and often I don't understand their behavior. I know what they are doing but don't understand why.

Hi. Nice to me you, fellow inhabitant. I'm one too.

Maybe the neurotypicals will someday take us to their mothership.....RUN SCREAMING!!! They mean alien probes and autopsy.

Personally, I'm just here to observe and collect data & samples for the home planet.

I have never felt like part of the human race at all, and I don't really see myself as a person. As I write this, I'm not quite sure what I am. I have never fitted in anywhere and always felt that there was something wrong with me, that I was very abnormal. I always felt too different to other people to be able to think of myself as one of them. Before I knew about Asperger Syndrome, I remember telling my counsellors that I felt like an alien or like an extraterrestrial. I used to have a t-shirt that had the word 'alien' printed across it in big letters. It was from the film 'Alien 3', but it was my way of telling the world how I felt about myself. I think that is also how a lot of people see me.
Now, I think it is because I don't feel a human-to-human connection with other people that I find it hard to see myself as human. And the longer I have stayed away from people and remained in my own world, the more disconnected I have become. I have often felt that I haven't got a clue how to speak to another human being.

I don't feel like I belong or fit in. I just feel like an outcast most of the time.

I just observe what is going on around me and try to understand. I am better at understanding animal behaviour than I am human behaviour. I guess this is common.

I find myself observing people and trying to figure out what motivates them to act the way they act. This is an area that fascinates me because I am the type who doesn't take action easily, am more contemplative.

One area that fascinates me inparticular is "manipulation". That is the part I find the most interesting. I wonder how come some people will let certain others manipulate them while not allowing others to. What makes a person that might not otherwise be manipulated get manipulated in a certain situation.

I have noticed this happening a lot.

One thing I have noticed is an individual can be easily manipulated if they like the one doing the manipulating.

So, it seems those with really good social skills who go out of their way for others, etc are really good manipulators as well.

This is one thing I have noticed about "The Manipulators".

I wonder how some people can be so spontaneous. I also wonder if the world would be a better place if some people were less spontaneous.

No, I don't know about anyone else, however. My mother sometimes "jokes" that she found me out in the desert, which probably makes more sense in reality, as sand is more meaningful to me than nearly all people are.

I definitely feel stressed when I am not with heavy thinkers. Anyone with a high IQ seems to work for me. As for aliens I have considered writing a book about aliens messing with human DNA and the result being Autism. Not a mistake it was their desired result.

Not really feeling like an alien but although as I come with more theories as to the exact nature of Autism I feel less alien. Or the possibility of any alien connection seems even more absurd. Razz

I sometimes feel like the robots on the terminator, with anylising people, and I sometimes pretend in my mind what it would be like to be aliens, like the Yautja.

I've never believed I am literally an alien but yeah, I feel sometimes like how an alien would feel had they come to live with the earthlings. Razz

Or maybe us aspies are natives of the earth. And NT's are not. Shocked
