I'm not ruling out "treatment" for other people, honestly, just not for me. I have friends, I feel comfortable. If it ain't broke, don't fix it. |

I don't need them in my day to day life, but say if I was going out to a party or something.... then I'd try a couple. _________________ Life is full of weird people - I am not one of them! |

I've had X before, but it didn't turn me into an NT. I was still as bad at talking to people as I've always been, I just didn't notice my stupid behavior as much as I normally do. It reminded me too much of LSD, which only made me paranoid. _________________ Terminal Outsider, rogue graphic designer & lunatic fringe. |

No, I wouldn't.
Because... how to word it.
I do have social problems BUT
My most pressing problems are not social.
My most pressing problems due to autism even, are not social.
I still have a social life, even if it's an unusual one that might not qualify as a social life by everyone's definition of the term, and even if it's not always exactly how I want it to be.
And... even when social problems are related to autism for me, they appear to be related to huge differences in cognition from people with typical cognition, so my problem does not seem to be some kind of innate social-specific deficit to begin with.
So... even if I were to fix something somehow, it wouldn't be my first choice. _________________ "We may seem in the gutter from up there where you are but maybe you don't know we still see the same stars." -Donna Williams |

I laughed when I saw this question. I think the terminology is humorous; "social pills".
The SSRIs are considered to be social pills, to some extent, aren't they?
Booze is another great social leveler. |

God no.
It's not beside the point that I don't want to socialize; my social "problems" aren't my problems with this Autism thingy. |

I don't think I'd take such pills if they existed.
I have a dislike of any and all forms of medicine, but that aside, I can't envision them happening. It would conflict with my personality, it's just the way I am.
I don't really want them, either. I can manage the way I am. |

I'd take them when I wanted to and had social anxiety, but if I wanted to concentrate on something else I wouldn't take them. _________________ God protects fools. Be a fool.

God no times a zillion.
I'm one of those people on the spectrum who can't interact with people socially at all, but who is fine with that. |
