I used to be clueless, but I started watching more and more. It's hard to get access to good movies if you only go to blockbuster. Now I have a big collection. Terry Gilliam is my favorite, followed closely by Jarmusch.

Irony fans should note how quickly the topic has changed from being stuck in a one-sided discussion about film to being a discussion about film.
Proving that Keeno has drawn the wrong opinion on the whole "films are awesome Y/N" debate?

Oh. I wasn't saying in my original post, that movies weren't awesome.

The point was, I just cannot 'read' them in the way most people can. And like many posters here I have a horrendous recall for movies.

I don't understand why, given what my memory is like in other areas.

And I wondered if that was the case for anyone else.

Of course I probably missed the irony in the first place (and that too doesn't help when watching movies) because my ability with irony is almost as minimal as my knowledge of movies.

Yep. Movies and TV shows are subjects I know little as nothing about, so usually I just sit around clueless of what people are talking about when they discuss those.

Only problem I have is that a lot of times, people like to talk about brand new movies that I haven't seen yet, and probably won't see until they hit TV Rolling Eyes

Or TV shows.

Yeah, you movie quotient seriously drops off once you have kids...

These days, the only movies I get to see at the cinema are kid's movies...

I try to cheat a bit - and sometimes it works - like the time I told my wife that since Beowulf was a CGI cartoon movie, it's a kid flick... Very Happy and the time I took my then 4/5? year old to see Revenge of the Sith...

No kids here, I just don't get to go to the cinema as often.
