Asperger's is like having a portion of your brain taken out and replaced with a cybernetic computer implant. You can still function, and your intelligence is raised, but your basic humanity is stunted somewhat. And after a while you start questioning your choices and actions, wondering if it's you or if it's the computer that's running the show.
...Kind of a cyber punk analogy there, wasn't it?

PS, I like jamesohgoodie's comparison as well, which I just noticed.
Hm, how about, Asperger's is like having a locked chest full of goodies stuck to your back. It's there, there's stuff in there, but everybody sees some funny looking growth on the your back, you can't open it.
