I liked Rain Man. What exactly about it didn't you like? Sure it's not going to be an accurate representation of the autism spectrum. Plus people on the spectrum vary in their traits. It would be impossible to be accurate. Most movies are not because they are meant to entertain people first and foremost. They're not documentaries. I thought Mozart and the Whale was a bit better, but it's not without its flaws.

Open question: Am I a sheep because I don't want anarchy?

If your obsessions happen to coincide with the maths, sciences, computers, engineering, or some academic pursuit, it does work out a little better. Counting cards rarely does for long (casinos catch on and kick card counters out).

though card-counting gets you laid more than computers, math, or anything else involving a complex series of abstract concepts that rarely ever enter into anyone's life.

by the way, I said you were sheep for calling me naive, if you actually read it, you'll find a makes a lot of sense. The way it works is through self defense.

What about those people who can't defend themselves? Or who, for example, lack the social skills to do well in voluntary unions?

Then found your stupid aspie country, that's the thing about anarchy, everything is voluntary, if you want aspie unions then make them.

I watched Rainman once but I didn't watch the whole thing, but I watch Monk often and I really like that show. Yes, he has problems, but he overcomes those problems and catches criminals, something that is very admirable. It shows (to me, at least) that people who have OCD, or are autistic, or what have you, can overcome the difficulties that they have with certain aspects of life and do very meaningful things.

It seems woefully disorganized and inefficient. Relying on self-defense for any sort of societal order? That's just archaic.

Tell you what, if you make a movie about an autistic kid who brings about the collapse of civilization maybe I'll enjoy it.

Every supervillian ever, circa around ages 20-50.

Eh. By the way, windscar, you seem to like taking rather pointless positions upon entering the debate field. Would you care reforming yourself to be a bit more rational in future postings?
