I was banned from a Star Wars forum out of pure administrative process. I was replying in threads that had been left dead for a while. Now, I was not spamming. I was writing legitimate posts in them. However, there was a rule that stated one must not post in 'old' threads, though it did not define how old they had to be. When a moderator called me out, I apologized for it. He told me that everyone there liked me, but that didn't change anything, and he wasn't going to go soft so I was banned.

I think everyone else gets people mad at them. I remember some guy saying if you don't piss off people in your lifetime, you're doing it wrong

That also explained how I somehow couldn't fit in with the other black people in 5-8th grade and HS to some extent. And how I managed to piss off a lot on TOTSE when I first posted lol. They said my spelling was sh**, didn't notice it when typing. They (some TOTSEans) also said my flames were weird, which they can still be sometimes. w00t for firefox Cool

lol No we have an El here too. EDIT: Sorry didn't read your post thoroughly enough before I responded.

My grandmother is from where Belarus is now, but her village was burnt down in world war 2. My family is Russian Jews and I've heard Jews weren't actually considered true Russian citizens all the way back then. But technically I am 75% Russian. I have distant cousins that I've met that still live in Belarus. Their son goes to school in the states.

oh, okay. Yes, Jews were not considered "full" Russians and were exiled to Western Russia ('The Pale of Settlement" I believe). The rules and laws varied over rulers but yeah there was antisemitism there. Ukrainians invented the Pogroms lol. The Soviet Union was friendlier to Jews and many Jews were influential in the Soviet system (see Trotsky before he fled/was kicked out by Stalin)

I guess it depends on what kind of role you decide to have in the world. Some are happy going against the grain, and others find it too stressful to be in conflict with others.

I find it stressful to conflict with others but I find it far more stressful to try to act according to everyone's rules of how people should act.

Well I think I totally misread what you were saying for the same reasons a lot of people misunderstood me. I read the conviction in what you were posting but I read it as judgment of Warsie instead of a strong feeling you had about what you were saying. People like us that tend to say things rather loudly, people attribute that to emotion, so they often think that we are really angry about something when we just have a lot of conviction about what we are saying. Does that even make any sense? lol I tried to describe it the best way possible. I have good intuition but sometimes it really does get mixed up with past experiences and just turn into complete paranoia. lol

About three. When my hot-headedness comes in contact with douchebaggyness, it's like a spark and dynamite.

Actually it's more likely theforce.net; they would be sticklers for that. You'd have to do it alot an have successively longer bans before u get permabanned. SDN is full of assholes and one of the mods would probably flame you in PM; srsly.

Thats ok. It wasnt a judgement of Warsie, though it did definately have a strong emotional tone. I wanted to hear from him about what had happened there. The topic that was being discussed upsets me so that is why I responded in that way. Probably it would be good if I was a calmer person, but oh well....

Warsie, if it's that forum you showed me in what you posted before. I looked at it some more and they actually have an entire category devoted to bannings. lol It's like they are proud to ban people and they like to brag about it. I wonder how sad their lives truly are.

Yes, the same board. Registered a THIRD account there lol. rarely post on there anyway.

There's also a hidden forum (have to register to see it, which isn't a good idea) where if they are "illogical" or don't argue correctly or are "stupid" or the like they move the thread there where the main point is to flame them so cinders. Yes

I looked at it the other day. It is a weird system that i have never seen before on a board. It appears that instead of the mods being able to ban, the mod has to put it to a vote system and ask all members. Though it seems democratic, I dont think that is a very good way to do this- it pretty much amounts to publicly humiliating the person who is to be banned.
